Summary: This book is for anyone unsure of his or her life path.
Review: Several of my friends had read this book before recommending it to me. I wondered what could be in this small book that could have such a profound effect on those who read its pages. Once I picked it up, I could not put it down. I read it in one sitting, as it is a relatively short story, and in that short time, felt as if I had learned a great deal about myself and about life. Paulo Coelho has a simple writing style that is easy to understand, yet powerful and provacative. It is a story for all ages and I would recommend this book to anyone, regardless of his or her religion or belief system. Anyone feeling lost or unsure about his or her path in life MUST read THE ALCHEMIST.

Summary: Everything you wanted to know about life in one sitting.
Review: You won't be able to put this book down until you read the last word...and then you'll grab the next one that Paulo Coelho has written. Trust me. It's Karma. Listen to your heart.

Summary: THIS BOOK IS MAGICAL, DO NOT MISS IT!
Review: MY FAVORITE BOOK! I wholeheartedly agree with those who raved about the magic of this book. THIS BOOK CHANGED THE WAY I LIVE MY LIFE AND MY OUTLOOK ON LIFE AS WELL. Everything seemed to come together and the world seemed to make sense after reading this book. I also thought it looked "weird" when I first saw it in the library and read the back, but for some reason it kept "popping out" at me everytime I went to the library, until I finally checked it out, positive I would never get past the first page. I can't express how glad I am that I did. Not only did I end up buying a copy, but I actually wrote down quotes from the book while I read it the first time (I couldn't underline in the library's book!) on many many sheets of notebook paper, and typed up the best ones to hang up in my room so that I can constantly be inspired by them. READ THIS BOOK, YOU WILL BE IMMENSELY GLAD YOU DID!

Summary: Hesse's Sidharta for beginners
Review: Simple, inspiring and to the point book about right, hard, rewarding choices in life. It is very similar to Herman Hesse's Sidharta, but because of the simple style of writing Coelho's message is less philosophical, making the book understandable by wider audiences.

Summary: Excellent.
Review: Simple. Powerful. Magical. Minimal use of words which speak volumes. (Not as good as "The Little Prince" though!)

Summary: If there were ever a story that has changed a life . . .
Review: I can scarcely think of another story that has been so instrumental in changing my life (or at least my outlook on it). Coelho's gift of portraying an elabrate vision with simple, elegant imagery provides a literally refreshing immersion into a story that would at once appeal to both the amateur and well-versed reader. The story Follows Santiago, an Andalusian Shepherd boy on a journey to to find his personal legend. By far the most inspiring and uplifting story I have yet to read, and most certainly one of Coelho's best.

Summary: An inspirational book
Review: A simple, elegantly written book that is an inspiration to look beyond the obvious. A good book to read during times of change, and especially before traveling. I have given this to many friends and relatives. I highly recommend it!

Summary: A BED TIME STORY? A SAGA?
Review: i just could not tell. this is a book written with a peot's pen, or maybe i ended up with this felling because i read it in french. one sure thing is that coelho represents a new breed of writers; this is one DIFFERENT book.
