Summary: An enlightening clean up
Review: At this point, I still don't know much about Feng Shui. The book caught my eye at the library for some unknown reason and I started reading it only because it was the thinnest book on my night stand. A day after turning the first page, I was driving my pickup truck back and forth to the recycling center.

I doubt everyone will find the same tonic when reading the book, but it worked for me. I think it provided a non-dogmatic twist on 'cleanliness (clutterless-ness) is next to Godliness' and 'the truth (no clutter) will set you free'. Additionally, I suspect the exercise of thinking about family, friends, fame, prosperity, creativity, health, knowledge and livelihood as distinct issues can't hurt.

Summary: Ambiguous clutter
Review: In this age of accumulation, with the enormous volume of self-help books being published, I am running into serious problems vis-a-vis undesirable life patterns and stuck energy. Among the many accumulated objects cluttering up my house and my life is my vast collection of books about feng shui. I keep moving these piles and rows of books around the house, trying to find the best position for them. No matter what I do, though, the books keep collecting dust and stagnant energy, and I can't get rid of the clutter and negative symbology. This book has inspired me, though, to do something about these undesirable life patterns, and thus rid myself of both ambiguous purpose and unfinished emotional business. Once I dispose of my cluttering collection of feng shui self-help literature, I'm expecting my spiritual and emotional clutter to vanish along with it. My only dilhemma is this book: if I get it, the cycle of clutter may begin again. For this reason, I'll give it only 2 stars, since I'm sure it's the first step on a slippery slope.

Summary: Get rid of that clutter!
Review: This book made me realize how much clutter around the house really does stress me out. I've become motivated to clean it up and I'm so happy with the results. My living room is virtually clutter free and it's amazingly so much more relaxing to spend time in there!

Summary: a must read
Review: this book is wonderful! I got it to find a way through my clutter but what I actually got was the reason's I keep clutter. Although some of the things she said I've heard before this time they touched me and made a difference. I am more relaxed, more willing to accept what life sends my way, it's great. She is so right about the energy you feel when you start to clear your clutter away. I've even got my Husband to show and interest and want to read the book. Buy this book.

Summary: A *mixed bag* of info
Review: I have to say that this book had its interesting points. I think it was inpiring in a general sense. I didn't see alot of specific information altho i would admit it is motivating as a whole. If you are looking for specific and detailed info on feng shui this isnt the book for you... It is more of a general guide of the subject...which may be okay as you would have an idea of what kind of more specific info you would want to find.

I found the author a bit too esoteric for me. Her chapter, late in the book, about colon clensing just made me say "huh?" Maybe its just me...but I dont want to read about encrusted, impacted colons...along with diagrams when I am reading this kind of book. Her point I suppose was that *clearing* you life meant clearing your body as well as you house. Maybe that is a valid point.. I don't know, I stopped reading the book at that point.

Perhaps if the book was titled differently...clear your life wiht feng shui...or something...it would have seemed like a more global *clearing*... But I think the word *clutter* is a popular word for titles. Many people have clutter and they need to deal with it... Maybe the titling was an attempt to attract a wider audience.

So, even tho I found some value in the first part of the book, I stopped reading when I got to the colon diagrams. Truthfully, if I had to do it over again, I would buy a book that was more *on target* about decluttering your house and didnt go off into esoteric tangents.

Summary: Very Motivational!
Review: The first time I read this book I couldn't put it down, when I finally did I was very motivated to get cleaning. Any time I need to get motivated I pick up this book. When reading I couldn't help but have a few people in mind that would benfit from this book and have given it as a gift many times.

Summary: clear your clutter with feng shui
Review: This is the first motivational book I've read from cover to cover and in one sitting at that!! I have begun to clear my clutter, one drawer at a time........and am making plans to empty the garage and park my cars where they belong. This book manages to be simple, rewarding, uplifting and amusing all at once and I definitely recommend it. In fact, I have ordered 3 more to give to friends (who need it but don't know it yet).

Summary: Fast reading
Review: Browsing through some earlier reviews, I really started wondering why so many readers found this book so inspirational. I read through it one evening, with a pencil in my hand to underline the important thoughts and I have to say the book is still "like new" - as they sometimes advertise used books.
Probably "Clear Your Clutter With Feng Shui" is great reading for those that have been "collecting clutter" all their lives, but if you're one bit of an organized person, you won't really get any useful information from Ms. Kingston's book. Also, if this is not your first Feng Shui book, you won't gather any new insight about this ancient art of placement either.

Summary: Your spiritual guide to clearing space
Review: Clear your clutter with Feng Shui" by de-cluttering specialist Karen Kingston is a must-have book if you are in the process of clearing your space. The book is short and concise, however, very detailed and well written. KK explains what clutter is, why we have it and why is not good for us. She identifies clutter in various areas of the house/office and suggests innovative ways of ditching it for good! In addition, for those who know about Feng Shui, she recommends decluttering based on the Bagua map. Very good book indeed and happy clearing!
