Summary: makes you smile!
Review: I enjoy having this book around, lots of cute pics to make you smile :)

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Taken in his genre, Beard's "Zen for Cats" is amusing.
Review: I found, as did several of my younger friends (and perhaps I should definee "younger"---high schoolers) that the book offered certain insights, but was mostly funny and very funny in spots. I think if you liked Beard's other books (check amazon.com), you will enjoy this.If you like Barbara Holland's writing---you'll thoroughly enjoy Beard's.

Summary: Cute
Review: If you're developing an ulcer, or trying to reduce your blood pressure, try modeling your day on the basic schedule of a Zen Cat. With Beard's exquisitely humorous help, I think I have caught a glimpse of the "discipline of no discipline." My understanding of Charlie, my feline partner, has been greatly improved by learning that he is, in practice, a Zenmaster. Every cat's housekeeper should read this book!

Summary: Beard captures both the essence of Zen and Cat perfectly!
Review: The illustrations are wonderful and the humor is witty. Henry Beard captures both the essence of Zen and Cat perfectly in this book.

I "accidentally" bought a copy of this book while on vacation. After reading it I just had to buy two additional copies to give to relatives as gifts when I returned home.

Summary: I'm sorry I'm wasting space in an already full bookcase.
Review: There is relatively no content (and what little there is is less than clever). I wonder if the author has even had a cat. Some of the illustrations are amusing, though. Bottom line - save your money.

Summary: I LOVED this book!
Review: This book is so cute! It really reflects the personalities of my cats! My cats are Zen Master Cats, especially Shingu no Jagaimo (Futon Potato). I love this book, if you're a cat lover, or you just need a short, good read, this book is definetely for you!

Summary: Cute
Review: This book was quite cute, however, I expected a little more out of it. It's one of those books thay you can read in 10 or 15 minutes - not worth the money unless you're getting it as a gift or you just have money to burn. Pick it up in the library or just read it in Borders.

Summary: The Zen of no Zen
Review: This is really a very cute book about Cats from the concept of Zen! Some points in the book, although amusing, is also thought provoking. The illustrations are very cute and the book offers certain insights which I found to be really true with my little kitty boy!

This is in fact, a small little “sayings” book, so don’t expect it to be a full or complete book about cats. But if you’re looking for something to complement or enhance your reading of cats, get this! It’ll surely provide you with hours (or minutes) of reading joy and “knowing” smiles. ^_~

The only minus point I could think of this book is that it’s too short! I finished reading it in a few minutes, but I wished it was longer because it’s just so entertaining and refreshing! Also recommended as gifts to your cat-lover friends!

Summary: Henry Beard's humor really tickles my funny bone
Review: Zen for Cats is a quick read, something you'll pick up from time to time and flip through again. If you're a cat owner, I don't doubt you'll find Beard's witty observations hilarious. The illustrations are cute, but it's mostly the very dry humor in the text that makes me laugh out loud. This book is worth owning -- you'll want to refer to it again and again.
