Summary: A book that can only be appreciated by it's target audience.
Review: This book is loaded with enthusiastic endorsements for topics ranging from the highly dubious to the abjectly false. The authors offer us their uncritical acceptance of firewalking, Kirlian photography(as proof of auras), therapeutic touch and a host of other such frivolities as genuine paranormal phenomena. Praise is also given to obvious charlatans such as Uri Geller, Jeane Dixon, and the Fox sisters(admitted frauds). What can we expect next from these authors, The Complete Idiot's Guide to Purchasing the Brooklyn Bridge?

Summary: A fun over-view of everything that is Phychic
Review: This book was well constructed, from start to finish, covering everthing one could ask for in the subject of psychic, or rather intuitive abilities. Not to mention was a really fun read, and it even had history (that wasn't dry!!!). It containes very good Tips&Tricks on not only how to tune your natual abilities but how (for beginers) to pin-point exactly what and why they are. I have many years of personal experance with "universal intuition" and it still gave me insight (no pun intended) into my own ability that I had never seen. If you are interested in the subject of one's intuition, as a sceptic, a believer, a beginer, or you just want a fresh way to fine-tune your own abilities, this book is a must read.

Summary: On the right path
Review: This is the beginning of the path toward psychic knowledge. Whether you are just starting out or you are an expert, this book is so well written that anyone can understand how to tap into thier own sixth sense.

Summary: A remarkable book
Review: What I like about the Complete Idiot's Guide series is that you are assured that the authors involved in writing each specific topic are both well-established and well-respected in their field. And this could not be more true for this book on being psychic. When I became interested in this topic more than 20 years ago, there were very few books around that did not have an "occult" or "other-worldly" tone to it, which I found off-putting. It has been well worth the 20-year wait for a book like this, which deals with all aspects of being psychic from just that gut feeling to astral projection and written in a style that recognizes that these are very real intuitions/communications that a lot of people experience and that can be developed in each individual (although not all people may be able to develop all of the skills). This is a remarkable book that packs in more than you can imagine on this vast topic - well worth buying.

Summary: Perfect for Idiots
Review: When I read this book I was like "wow"!! I couldn't believe that someone had finally put down into an EASY to understand form all of these theories and techniques for becoming your own psychic! I immediate picked up the phone and called my own psychic to gloat:
"Tell me what I'm reading right now," I demanded.
"Umm... a book?" she replied.
Darn it - she got me again! Is there anything this lady can't tell me about myself? Well, she has been a telephone psychic for a few months now, and I've only been a psychic since I picked up this book on Saturday.
Anyway, the book is a great read and I really like it so far. Actually, I haven't been reading it that much lately - I mean, I thumbed through the table of contents, but darn it - reading is pretty hard unless you're like a professor of reading or something... so maybe I'll wait till the audio book comes up. Of course then I'll have to learn how to read music.

Summary: The book's alright, but could be better
Review: When I've first read reviews about this book, I figured that I would achieve an abundance of information out of it. After purchasing and reading the book, I found that it does contain some basic information about the subject of psychic phenomena.

However, reading this book would feel more like reading children's book to those who prefer intellectual reading. I guess this is why the series is called "The Complete Idiot's Guide." For all of those who know little or nothing about psychic phenomena and have trouble understanding other books that cover it, I would recommend this book.
