Rating: Summary: A joy to read... Review: A beautiful book! I loved the humor and insight; even my 14 year old son enjoyed it, and there's a tough audience. You'll be very glad you got this book.
Rating: Summary: LET ME HEAR A HEAVENLY AMEN! Review: A gift from heaven? The hell with it! a real-life nun named Karol Jackowski somehow convinced Hyperion that she had a book inside her, and Holy Hypocrite! it worked. This paperback is filled with such earth-shattering advice such as "if it looks like fun and doesn't break The 10 Commandments, do it" and "write something at the end of every day." OK, Sis. I am taking your advice. My words at the end of this day: Thou Shall Not Read such a miraculous waste of ink and paper. Amen!

Rating: Summary: What's the book about? Review: In its original form, this book was a lecture given in the Spring of 1987 at Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana. As part of a student-planned program called "The Last Lecture Series," faculty and administrators were invited to prepare a lecture pretending it was the last one given before we died -- our parting words. Because lecturing has never been a burning interest of mine, I couldn't imagine wanting to give one right before I died. What I could imagine easily though, was leaving behind a list of all the things I was glad I did before I died, and they might think about doing before they die. The list turned into the lecture, which felt like the outline for a book, the end result of which is Ten Fun Things to do Before You Die, written by nun other than me.

I found it insightful and thought-provoking. Many, many good ideas for improving your life. I highly recommend it to everyone, but especially Catholics.
Rating: Summary: A unique blend of humor and insight. Review: Readers won't be able to resist this unique blend of humor and insight - Karol Jackowski draws on her reserves of wry wisdom to produce recipes for happy living. For those who want to get some insight, get some depth, find an escape from reality, and make themselves more interesting, this inspirational little book will help show the way.
Rating: Summary: Don't pass this one by! Review: Sister Karol's book is a delight! Wonderfully funny and insightful. I most enjoyed the author's unique illustrations, which perfectly complement each page. It's a book I can return to again and again! Who would have thought a nun could be so much fun?
Rating: Summary: A little book packed with lots of wisdom Review: Sister Karol's book is one of my all time favourites and something I can return to time and time again for inspiration. It isn't a heavy, dry read in the least, something one might perhaps expect of a Catholic nun. She is fun, witty and occasionally somewhat irreverent (in the best possible way). Infact, I think I'd like to invite her to my next party...:)
