Summary: Crouching Pug Dog, Hidden Pile....
Review: Can I get the Taoist version of "Amen?"

While my own children of the fur have never seemed uptight, driven by greed or overcome with that burning beast called desire, perhaps Wilson came from better evolved stock.

Might I suggest a follow-up book for those just adopting their first Pug puppy? Tao of Pug Owner, possible working title. My oldest Pug thought his name was "G.D. Dog!" the first 6 months of his life. Presents on the carpet, a suede coat taken as a chew toy...Serenity now! -- Laurel825

Summary: My pug has found inner peace
Review: Henry the Pug & I received our copy today. I absolutely loved the
book!!!! I am going to be taking my second favorite (after Henry) treasure
around everywhere I go to show everybody!! A wonderful book. My
favorite is about being uncouth, especially since I am watching Henry eat ice
cream out of a coffee mug. I am going to a pug party Saturday in
Chicago where 500 pugs attend and I am going to Taos on Tuesday and I will
have my new book under my arm. Great job!!

Summary: Every child should have a Dog
Review: I could say so much about ths book such as it is great for any dog owner, a MUST READ for pug dog owners, or that it blends Taoism and dog ownership so wonderfully, but in the end it is all about what it means to own a dog, it is such a special arrangement between human and animal and how we learn from each other. I learn everyday from my Pug Dog, how to relax, how to view the world from his eyes, how to play, how to get excited when meeting people, how not to take the world so serious, my pug dog learns from us about eating, entertaining, and reading books at night to the kids.

Thanks to Nancy for reminding us about the special bond we have with our pets and especially for us Pug dog owners who feel the Pug is the best pet in the world. I now get my children to understand Taoism in their own way since they love their pug so much and enjoy seeing others enjoy their Pug as the pictures show with Wilson. Wilson is their favorite name now for our next Pug dog.

Lastly I would recommend any teacher to use this book for reference. I am showing it to my 2nd grader's teacher right away.

Summary: Cute Pictures, That's About It
Review: I found this book quite derivative of Jim Dratfield's Pug Shots both in look and feel. And while the pictures were well done, they don't hold a candle to Dratfield's work. The addition of the Tao-ish story didn't add very much to the overall experience. Buy Pug Shots instead.

Summary: A face only a brother could love
Review: I too am a pug owner, 2 of them in fact. This book is great and the pictures of course are the centrepiece. How often have I seen my own pugs in the situations that you will find Wilson. Wilson of course, verbalises the wisdom that all pugs share. This is a must own for dog lovers period!

Summary: Next thing you know, I'll be loving chihuahuas...
Review: I used to think pugs were silly little dogs. And ugly, too. But now, after reading the Tao of Pug, and seeing all those adorable pictures of Wilson, I must say I've had a change of heart. Just don't tell my golden retriever...

Summary: Barking praise for The Tao of Pug. Woof! Woof! Woof!
Review: If you love pugs, you'll love this book! Neither dogmatic nor pugnacious, the philosophy is simple and elegant, and the photos are fun and beautifully shot. Recommended to all.

Summary: Wonderful Wilson
Review: It's a feast for the eyes and the funnybone. Wilson shares his interpretations of the learnings of the Tao (Pug style) while allowing the reader to enjoy wonderful photographs of him going about his everyday Pug duties. This book is a treat for Pug lovers and dog lovers alike. Wilson is a handsome boy with a way with words.

Summary: I love Wilson!
Review: My mom gave me this book for my birthday. I'm 11 and I love it. I read it over and over. Wilson is really cute and I feel like I know him and like he's talking right to me. I brought this book with me to school one day and all my friends loved Wilson too. They asked their parents if they could get the book. Now some of us are starting a Wilson club. I love how Wilson makes his Tao ideas really fun.
