Summary: A nice balancing act
Review: Charmed is a fun show and remarkably unobjectionable to wiccans and other followers of alternative spiritual paths. The secret seems to be that no matter how much nonsense there is in it, it is true to the spirit and never harms. This book does a great job of distinguishing authentic traditions from the TV made-up stuff, and can introduce a novice (who might think "witchcraft" and "magic" look pretty cool, from watching the show, and wants an easy how-to guide) to the true traditions underlying the show - without giving too much away, either. After all, if you want real magic, you have to do it yourself, every step of the way, and you can't get that from a book; but the book is surprisingly good at conveying that concept. At the same time, for those who just want to know more about the show, this isn't an authorized book, but it has enough details from the show in it to satisfy most fans. Good job!

Summary: The "Unofficial" Book of Shadows
Review: Even though it is unofficial, it is a great read of the charmed series, i like all of the sections that talk about whichcraft and the ending whis tells you bloopers in the series for season 1 and 2, there were things that i read that i never knew about the series, this is a great book for the fans of charmed, NOW LET THEM COME OUT WITH THE CHARMED DVD!

Summary: Simply wonderful
Review: First of all I love the show. I have been studing wicca for over a year(which isn't long) but it always seemed the more I read the more I was confused. Until recently I read this book and I understood it. It all made sense to me in every way possible. I went and re-read my other books and simply understood the things they were saying. This goes to show it's the simple things in life you should treasure.

Summary: Dissapointed
Review: I bought this book, because of its title and was really disappointed. I assumed that it would be about "charmed" as it's tille suggests "Charmed companion guide" But I was seriously wrong. I know many of You are interested in being a wiccan like the Halliwell Sisters, I am not, i just enjoy the show, and was completly uninterested in the book, execpt for the last like 20 pages, where the episode guide is. I Think the book makes fun of "Charmed", For not being completly realilstic in the magic but made fun of the actresses, and had only negative things to say about the show. However if your into witchcraft then this is a practical book, but otherwise save your money. They shouldn't have misleading titles on stuff.

Summary: A Real Witch Book
Review: I bought this looking for a guide to charmed, a show i have come to love being a wiccan, i like to see wicca portrayed as positive. But i found myself presently surprized at this book which is actually a book of shadows. if you like scott cunningham, and i am hard pressed to find any wiccan who doesn't, youw ill find this to be a valuable resource. If you just watch the show for the heck of it. this will enlighten you to the reality of wicca, which is something i wish i could do more, either way, wiccan or not, there is stuff about charmed all the way through, and you'll learn a lot about the most controversial part of the fastest growing religion in america also, magick. Definetly reccomended.

Summary: The best book I've ever read.
Review: I don't like reading too much, but since this book is about what I like, when I started reading it I couldn't stop it. I can't wait to buy it to finish reading it.

Summary: The Book of Shadows : The Unofficial Charmed Companion
Review: I expected more information pertaining to the TV series, Charmed. This book is interesting, yet not entirely consistent with the TV series, as I had hoped. I find the show entertaining - as it claims on the commercials, takes you away for an hour. Although I believe to some degree that witchcraft is a viable practice, I was interested in the entertainment value of a book that strictly adhered to the series use of it.

Summary: Not An Evil Book, But A Facisnating One!
Review: I find this to be a wonderfully well written book. Some find witchcraft to be evil and that if you have anything to do with it, you will go not get into heaven. What most don't realize is that this is not evil. Charmed is not evil. All this book tells you is interesting facts about the episodes, Wiccan roots and about the actors themselves. Wicca is very interesting and it is not a religion. This book does not criticize other religions. Wicca is based on the old religion of Britian. It also has a mention of herbs and spices that are similar to what the American Indians did long ago to help pain and suffering. If you take a psychology course, this stuff will come up under supernatural. This is real whether anyone wants to believe it or not. I strongly suggest that if anyone has a problem with it, please don't lecture or criticize others who wish to study it. We don't do it to your religion.
