Review: A brilliant work of fiction, though a bit over long and hard going in places. The language takes a bit getting use too. Once you have read it it's big enough to use as a door stop!
Some of the events are clearly inacurate, and in some places the book does contradict it's self, but if you treat everything with a touch of caution, you can just about let your imagination run riot. On of the all time classic, stories of epic proportions!

Summary: Great but flawed - needs some editing
Review: Few books try to answer all the big questions - the origin of the universe, the meaning of life, how one should act, forecast the future and also try to present a history of the Jewish people. However, the author(s) should have focused on a smaller number of main characters and should have tried to come up with a better ending. The middle portion of the book had some nice action and sexual scenes. There was too much legal detail in some of the chapters. With some editing (like in the Princess Bride), it could become a major work of fantasy.

Review: I find that no written work in the history of mankind has stood as strongly as this book. I am also not a Christian. I feel that this book has been scorn not because of its contents but because so many people put their faith and even their life into this book. As a Pagan (wiccan) I am taught to love and respect other peoples faith. I feel this book has a wonderful moral story to tell as well as a historical one. Besides, I couldn't say anything bad about a book that has been a #1 best seller for over 2000 years; Eat your heart out NY Times!

Review: I have read the Bible and it has impacted my life. I believe it is anointed by God and that God used it to reveal His purpose for our lives. The Bible speaks on every major and minor issue facing and dividing mankind; How that the acceptance of sexual sin (homosexuality, pornography and fornication) in ones nation would bring a moral decline to that nation. How that the acceptance and worship of any and all other gods would provoke "The True God" to anger. How that if man would continue to ignore and reject God's attempts at saving us, man would be left to his own devices and face judgement for them. God truly loves His creation, but His creation has chosen to loose sight of Him. This "Book of Life" shows God's Love, by showing us His willingness to forgive us our sins and restore us to a good standing before Him. All we must do is walk according to His ways, Praise Him as the Creator and acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior. Christ is our Salvation. Read this book and find out about God's plan for your life.

Review: I will never use any other English translation of the Bible but the King James version because it is indeed the most accurate Bible we have right now. If you all want to know the truth, stick with the book that does not shy away from the truth.

Review: I've read the Bible over and over and remain ever-amazed at the "life" of this book. Considering how the Bible was written over such a long period of time, it is amazing it how it all hangs together. It is truly inspired by the Living God through the hands of men. This is a book you can bank your life on. Read a good, modern translation of it. I read The One Year Bible every year.
