Review: I bought this bible about six months ago and I have been using it ever since. It has very good information in it and it helps you to understand the significance of the customs long ago. I wish this bible came in leather.

Review: I recently purchased this learning bible. It is an excellent resource for learning the scripture. It is also excellent for learning differences between some of the religions that use the Bible. Lots of information.

Summary: The most colorful, beautiful Study Bible available!
Review: When I ordered two copies of this Bible, I thought it was the "Word In Life" Study Bible (Nelson Publishing), but unfortunately that Bible has been out of print, and not available for a while now. (Was THAT a WOW Bible!) It's obvious though, that the ABS has taken a cue and designed this Bible from the "Word In Life" Bible. Now, if you're a serious student of God's Word, then get the NKJV (or NIV) "Life Application Study Bible," as that is the best! Or, secondly, the "NIV Study Bible." But...for the most beautiful, colorful, and interesting little photographs and artwork included throughout a Bible (on nearly every other or third page), then this is the Bible to have! (Unless your grasp of the English-language is poor, do not get this Bible in the watered-down CEV). This "Learning Bible" also has lots of little articles, charts, notes, etc. throughout - to help one better understand the culture, customs, and meanings of many verses and passages (though the "Life Application" or "NIV Study Bible" has tons more notes, maps, charts, diagrams, etc. throughout). Nevertheless, this "Learning Bible" is a nice, beautiful Bible for adults because of the colorful artwork and photographs throughout, and especially good for young people for that reason. I'm very glad to have added this Bible to my collection! Yes, it's big and heavy, but it must be - because of the colorful art and photography throughout! - Yes, finally a Bible with thicker pages (so there's no 'bleed-through'). (Again, great for young people)! And the type is the perfect good size! You will definitely be very well pleased with this Bible! Everyone I have shown it to says "wow!...look at that...! Now ABS, hurry up and please make this Bible in a genuine leather version!
