Rating: Summary: Absolutely Fantastic Review: Rick this book was the best book I've ever read, besides the Bible. I have never cried so hard, or rejoiced so loud reading a book as I have this one. I believe this book is an absolute must for anyone who claims to be a part of the body of Christ. Absolutely Captivating, could not put it down till I had finished it all. I'm sure I will read it again and again, Thank you again!
Rating: Summary: Metaphorically intriguing Review: I tend to gaze upon "prophetic words" with much apprehension and scrutiny. This book, would be just as intriguing, however, if it were read based on its metaphorical content alone. This book is an elaborate version of "The Pilgrim's Progress". It is challenging, focused and continually points the reader to Jesus. Masterfully written, yet with "the cloak of humility". When reading it, do as the scriptures entreat us, "study and show yourselves approved". Take it to the Lord and ask Him to show you if it is truth or heresy.
Rating: Summary: I BOUGHT 30 COPIES!!! Review: This book jolted my spiritual life and brought me so much closer to the Lord through conviction and helped me to bring my priorities more in line with the Lord's. Brings revival to your soul!
Rating: Summary: This books asks "how removed from God are you?" Review: This book makes one realize that it is one's self that distances himself from God. God does not distance himself from us, we do it to ourselves by carrying around our pride, self-righteous judgment and jealousy just to name a few. This book is outstanding.
Rating: Summary: DEFINITELY A WORD FROM THE LORD Review: I am extremely reluctant to read Christian Books, especially when written by apparent PROPHETS. However this book was a total confirmation of so much i have been receiving & understanding. If you are serious with God, you must read it again, not for the sensationalism, but for the real message - SUBMIT TO GOD, LET HIM JUDGE US, His way, THEN LET HIM USE US - His way. Pray for the Grace to do this. Quick note to Rick, please for Gods sake and the poor who also need this message, do not over commercialise the Sales. It is afterall Gods word, and you must not profiteer from it, but use the financial proceed to fund free distribution to those who cant afford it. ??? Pray for grace to do this. God Bless
Rating: Summary: Please have scriptural knowledge before reading this book Review: I am a born-again believer in Christ and I had heard a lot about this book, "The Final Quest". The reviews I both read and heard prompted me to borrow the book from a friend. There were several things that raised my eyebrows while reading. (Too many to detail here) I believe in following the instruction of scripture to "try the spirits to know if they are of God". So, I made sure I compared what I was reading to Biblical scripture. In reading, I was alarmed at things Mr. Joyner said that didn't quite measure up to scripture. In one part of the book, he says that there is an "aristocracy" in Heaven and different levels for different believers. To say this is to imply that God is a respecter of persons and places the importance of one of His children over another. According to God's Word, He is no respecter of persons and does not "play favorites". Something else frightening about this suggestion of an "aristocracy" is for Mr. Joyner to imply that there is ranking in Heaven. The only "ranking" I've seen in scripture as far as Heaven is concerned is composed of God(supreme rule and authority),the saints and the angels. According to God's first commandment, we are to worship Him and Him alone and beside Him there is no other. And when Mr. Joyner stated that during his vision he was being "bowed" to...that's a little questionable. To those who choose to read this book, I'd recommend having your Bible handy while doing so.
Rating: Summary: this book has the most profound look into the church,READ Review: PLEASE READ!!!!!! I am A teenager and I have been searching for something. I wasn't necesarrily searching for God but for any clear cut way of how to live. Than I wondered how I was supposed to live by faith. I thought all of the people in my church were hypocritical b/c they let petty squabbles get in the way of what God told them to do. Than my friend told me to read this book. It was as if God opened my eyes. I finally am beggining to let go of the little things and live by faith. I have been trying for 6 months to get my youth group to read this book, but satan keeps blocking me. Please say a quick prayer if you read this. My church really needs it. Thanx
Rating: Summary: America, and all lands, open your eyes - STAND UP FOR GOD. Review: I read this book numerous times, and each time, I understood more. If you love God, or if you DO NOT even believe in HIM, this is a MUST READ book! I don't even know how many of these books I have purchased and given to friends and aquaintances, in hopes that they would read it and have their hearts and souls touched like I did. I thank Rick Joyner for sharing this vision with us. And I thank the Lord for putting it on my heart to pick up this book and read it. First my step-son Will read it and gave it to my husband, John, and he read it and left it laying around when he finished it, and I FINALLY picked it up and read it..... and couldn't put it down, until I had finished it. Then I started over... Now, a year later, I read it again! God Bless all who read.
Rating: Summary: WOW!!! Review: A MUST READ BOOK FOR EVERY CHRISTIAN! If you don't want to get closer to Jesus don't read this book.
Rating: Summary: Forever changed my view of Eternity. Convicts, inspires Review: I was hesitant to read this book because Rick Joyner claimed it to be a prophetic vision. However, I've found it must be just that, and the most amazing book - short of the Bible - that I have ever read. Multiple times I was stopped while reading, fully aw-struck by the richness of the vision's convicting power through the Holy Spirit. Many areas of my life were brought into the light which the Lord wanted changed. What was the most important truth I walked away with? All that I do must be for His glory alone- not mine, not someone else's. I can not recommend this book enough; yes, it's not the Bible (as Joyner makes clear) but is undoubtedly a message from God. It would take more then Rick Joyner to create this vision.
