Rating: Summary: ALARMING!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I've read the previous statements and how some are upset with this book. If you're a Christian who is tired of being decieved adn just want the truth layed out in it's purest form, then this is the book for you!!! This book will keep you on the edge of your seat! It's not often one finds, solid Christian literature to edify him/herself. Don't let the low ratings on previous posts deter yo ufrom this informative read. I, like you, often check out the reviews to gauge whehter or not i should by the book and quite often, one doesn't know who to believe when you see such a gap bigger than the Grand Canyon(1/2 stars or 5). Reason why this book is rated 1-2 stars or 5, with no lukewarm ratings, is because it divides the truth from a lie. Chances are, if one rated this book low, he/she has been offended by what it states because they support one or several of the teachers it exposes. How many times as a Christian, have we had a hold of the truth and tried to share it with a brother or sister and they get offended? Quite often, us Christians can be stiff necked and unwilling to notice the truth if it fell on us! I pray in Jesus name, that those who read these reviews have a clear understanding and take the plunge into the deep truth, found in this marvelous book. This is a must for every Christian library, especially in light of what's going on in the church today. This book will help you understand why some Christians don't approve/agree with the "teachings" of the "popular" faith teachers. Check the bible, since when were God's chosen people popular. Come on people, wake up! Our Lord wasn't popular. He didn't stick out like a soar thumb. He even looked common. So common, Iscariot had to kiss him so the Roman soldiers would know which man was Christ! Nothing about him was SELF seeking, unlike the "SELF-positive" doctrine taught by many "Faith Teachers," whom are subtlely decieving our brothers and sisters with Christian Science, shamanistic(witch craft) teachings. Our Lord told us to deny our "SELF" and these teachers are promoting SELF like many NEW AGE ideas. When you focus on SELF you lose sight of CHRIST. Christ had to redeem us from SELF! The TRUTH will set you free.
Rating: Summary: Ultimate guide to avoiding the deception Review: If you read no other book this year (Other than the Bible of course)this would be that one book!(Or its follow up book..Beyond the seduction) It will open your eyes to things, that as a Christian you would never realize were of lucifer. satan isnt going to walk onto the world stage and declare himself satan and for all the Christians to sub-mit or die. It'll be more subtle than that. He is going to infiltrate (and is already well on the way) into the very heart of the Church itself to lull every luke-warm Christian to sleep. Before you take another Yoga class, think about getting hypnotised or looking for Nirvana in some other "religion" READ THIS BOOK FIRST!
Rating: Summary: An exemplary treatise on modern Christian discernment! Review: In the Olivet Discourse, when Jesus' disciples asked Him what would be the signs of the end of the world and of His return, His first response was, "See to it that no man deceives you!" Many books over recent years have chronicled the rise of natural disasters, one-world government preparation, and the coming "Mark of the Beast", but few if any have addressed the very first sign that Jesus said would mark the nearness of his return: unprecedented spiritual deception!Hunt and McMahon expose ancient witchcraft and sorcery as they are repackaged in modern, pseudo-scientific terminology and passed off to undiscerning Christians as the latest in "self-help" or "personal development" techniques. The authors place all the modern spiritual deception in the context of Bible prophecy and how it will play into the hands of the coming Antichrist, the one-world government, and the apostasy of the Christian church.

Rating: Summary: A Worth-Reading Book Review: Is there a mass delusion going on within the church under the umbrella of secular and "christian" psychology? What is Psychology and where did it start? Are we in the "last" of the last days? Dave Hunt and T. A. McMahon answer these questions and many controvertial issues. This book is worth buying, readers. It will transform you and change your life, and you will see that Psychology shoul not be in the churh.

Rating: Summary: I am no longer a fan of Dave Hunt or T.A. McMahon. Review: John F. MacArthur's book "Charistmatic Chaos" has helped me revaluate the dake-bonoist doctrine expressed by this work. My previous endorsements must be considered null and void. I cannot promote the errors within. I don't care the authors are "spiritual stepbrothers."
Rating: Summary: I would love to meet Dave Hunt! Review: Man Dave Hunt is great. He has all of his theology right. Not like those post-mil historicist weirdos.I know this post-mil guy and he wont shut up. I mean anti-christ this anti-christ that. I mean like who cares. The Prophet Shaun!
Rating: Summary: This Kind of Illogical Attack Has to Stop!!! Review: Mr. Hunt in this and in his sequel has managed to bring the Church to yet another low. These books are not well thought through. The scholarship is questionable. The quotes are generally out of context or twisted. The theology is laughable. There is nothing to commend this book with.
Rating: Summary: Discernment needed Review: The first time I read this book I was reading as an Arminian Dispensationalist. Almost a year and a half later I'm Calvinistic and Post-millennial. Hunt's book is good in one way and bad in another. It's good because he encourages discerning New Age techniques that are infiltrating the Christian Church. It's bad because he poses it within the context of an erroneous soteriology (doctrine of salvation) and eschatology (doctrine of "last things"). Hunt's prescription for the problem: throw up the white flag in surrender in this inevitable apostasy and wait for Jesus to save us in the Rapture. A better prescription is found in the book "The Reduction of Christianity: A Biblical Response to Dave Hunt" by Gary Demar.
