Summary: Most correct book of any book on earth.
Review: The Book of Mormon is an inspired translation from ancient text that will bring you closer to Christ than any other book. Some day it will be obvious to everyone that this book contains the fullness of the gospel for us in these wicked times, and it won't be a matter of whether you believe it or not, but it will be a choice of whether you will follow your God or not. You are blessed to be able to have one within your reach.

Summary: A Wonderful "Second Wittness" that Jesus is the Christ
Review: This book changed my life 20 years ago when I first came across it. I prayed about it then and it was revealed to me that it was true. It's much more than just this book though... The Book of Mormon is just one of the blessings of the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ that took place in 1830 through Joseph Smith. It's true! Rather than buy this book from Amazon, you'd be better off by calling your local Mormon Missionaries (listed in the phone book). They'll bring you a free copy and, if you're interested, they'll tell you more about where it came from and about it's contents. God bless you!

Summary: Great for Big Laughs!!!
Review: Ol' Dipper got a copy of these scribblings delivered personally one afternoon by some of the local drones while I was watching Soul Train (Dipper loves to groove!). I then went out for a shopping trip to Tiny's Tavern and brought home a growler of Imperial Stout to help keep me warm that cold February day. I plopped down for a read through this tome (I had to admit to being a little curious) and a slaking of my thirst from the glass confines of "Old Fred". At first I thought I was reading selections from the old King James version of the Good Book with various spelling errors. I cracked out my well thumbed copy of The Word and found that this was basically the case! Plagiarism galore!!! So far, things were well on their way to laughable. Old Fred's heavy, heavy gravity was beginning to put The Dipper in a happy mood when the "writings" got funnier. I started to read about "The Testimony of Three Witnesses" and "The Testimony of Eight Witnesses" as the snickering began involuntarily! The noodlings on the golden magic plates and the appearance of Moroni inspired me to head to the pantry and break out the Dixie paper products and Oscar Meyer's best by-products. It was time for two Moroni Bologna Sandwiches! I spread some Gulden's Golden Brown mustard on the two paper plates to continue with the theme of this creative piece of "history"! I got up and marched around my room at one point in spirit with the poor wandering Lamanites. By the time Old Fred was just an empty cylinder, I had pretty much gotten my fill of Joey Smith's best try at becoming famous. The drones kept telling me to "just read it and you will see if it's the truth or not". I must admit, they were exactly right!!! I haven't had that many laughs since Keith Hernandez guest starred on Seinfeld!

Review: Mark Twain called the B of M "chloroform in print." I can't agree with much he wrote, but that was well-said.

Summary: Oops, now what?
Review: The Book of Mormon contains a promise to all who read it. The Lord has given each of a promise through the last prophet in the book that if we will read from it, ponder it, and pray about it -then God will let us know that it is true.

I have done so. Read it thrice. Thought long and hard on it's text and it's holy edification. And finally prayed long and hard every day asking for the divinity of it's truth to cleanse and wash over me so that I might follow with all my heart to know it's truth.

But it hasn't happened. It all feels so false. Completely without substance or verasity. Should the recipe end - Repeat? Signal from God is that it's still a farse.

Summary: A few problems
Review: Ok I actually have about 100 problems with this book, but I would like to embrace just a couple. First off divinely translated circa 1830 into English from the heavens themselves, why does this book read like a cheap King James clone? In 1830 we spoke a modern English. No verily's, thou's, lo's, wherefore's, hark's, or shalt's... no none of such language was in vogue. Say when was that language in style, and by whom? Oh yes, that's right, by John Q. Public in the middle ages. Say when was the King James bible translated? Oh yes, that same time. I wonder why they used verily's, thou's, wilt's, wherefore's, hark's, and hitherto's. Oh yes because the goal was to make the Bible assessable to the public. Translated from it's Greek, and Hebrew, and Latin texts into the English Parlance of the day. But the book of mormon wisely realized of course in 1830 we don't speak that way, so why was it written that way?

Say that book is pretty thick, I wonder how many golden plates it took to hold the entire volume. Who carried it?

C'Mon outside of the ... content the story of it's existence doesn't even have a good enough beat to dance to.

Summary: What the Mormons Don't Want YOU to Know!
Review: If one is seriously interested in reading this text for spiritual upliftment or mere curiosity I can save you time by telling you that it's a book of fiction. If Aliester Crowely were alive today he'd tell you that this book is more deserving of the title: "Book of Lies". If I could rate this book lower than one star I would. It's a tragedy that so many human beings actually believe this book is true, and it's "translator" was a "prophet" of god.
What the Mormon church fails to tell it's members and it's missionaries, is that Joseph Smith was a false prophet, a liar, and a soul solicitor. He wanted to create a church of his own, but instead of taking credit for it himself along with his conspirators, he claimed to have been given divine intervention.
Do the Mormons ever speak about the effect the FreeMasons had upon the creation of the LDS church? It's a FACT that Joseph Smith joined a Masonic Lodge, and afterwards he left and created his own endowment sessions which are performed in the Mormon temples. Thes rituals are mere adaptations of Masonic ceremonies and symbolism with Joseph Smith's personal twist included with them. The "garments" which, mormons who have entered the temple wear have the very symbols of Mason sewn on them...such as: the ruler, and compass. Some of Smith's assassinator's were Masons who were extremely upset that Smith had taken their sacred symbolism and rituals, and created his own religion with them. The average Mormon doesn't even know why Smith was REALLY killed, and they say it was from religious persecution. It wasn't justified to take Smith's life, but Mormons don't elaborate why he was killed.
The Book of Mormon was created by Joseph Smith and other conspirators. It is a very monotonous book, it's stories quite fictional, and it's dogma & priciples are of a religious ID mentality. This book actually claims that the indigenous peoples of the N. and S. Americas were originally descendants from Jews who came from the old country. This book also claims that Joe Smith spoke with God and Jesus in person, along with other personal encounters from angels. To top it off, the Book of Mormon was said to have been transcribed from "golden plates" which, were never seen, displayed, or shown to any professionals. As a matter of fact, Joe Smith and his conspirators were the only ones who had allegedly ever seen these golden plates. When the symbols and characters were written down and shown to a professional, he claimed that they weren't authentic. Why is it important that you know all of this factual evidence? Because the Mormons, and the Book of Mormon surely wont divulge this information to you! Why should you waste your time, there are so many more talented authors who have truth for your soul, and food for thought?
If you want to read some literature that will truly enrich your life and your intellect, check out authors like: Nietzsche, Twain, Homer, Maugham, Freud, or even ANTON SZANDOR LaVEY!
I was raised in a Mormon family, and I have seen the tragic loss of individual thought, logic, and self-respect that the LDS church causes. The key to the Book of Mormon is to feel shame for your very own desires! Mormons feel indulgence is a sin. Well I indulge myself in life itself, so if you're like me you could never believe in what this book preaches. This relgion endorses herd mentality, strict taxation, ceasarpapism, zionism, and can even become a facist doctrine. Instead of being told what NOT to do, why not read something that glorifies our very humanity. In the Book of Mormon it states: "..the natural man is an enemy to God." It's ludicrous to be told that your very human nature instilled in you is incorrect! My review is more of a warning. This church is just a glorified cult. Always walk away from organizations that ask for your money. The Latter Day Saints are just another religious cult who want their "tithes". They ask for 10% of your income. And they don't just ask, they make it a commandment of "god"! Who would dare to not pay their tithing if it's a sin against god!? Who do you think pays for all of those free book of mormons that the church solicits? Why do you think they're free to begin with...? To draw you in! Once you begin to pay tithing they've got you!

Summary: Do you want to know Jesus Christ? Then read this book.
Review: I have read this book repeatedly. Yes, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and have had the opportunity to share the Book of Mormon many times. The Book of Mormon guides people to truth in a day when religion is more philosophy and interpretation than revelation from God.
The Book of Mormon teaches that the only way to true peace and happiness is through Jesus Christ.
If you are looking for proof about the Book of Mormon, it is there! For years archiologists have been finding piles and piles of evidence in south and central America that support the history of the Book of Mormon. One only need research for themselves if they are looking for historical witnesses. Scholars from BYU have been finding evidence for years and years.
But the real proof comes from reading the book yourself and then praying about it SINCERELY AND UNBIASED! Then you will know the truth about the validity of the Book of Mormon.
