Summary: Most helpful book on this subject I've read.
Review: We lost our son in a tragic industrial accident on his 27th birthday, June 18, 1997. We have read many books given to us by well meaning friends to help us through our grief, but "Roses in December" is by far the most helpful. We could identify with many aspects of her story. We trust God will help us in the same way He has helped Marilyn Heavilin.

Summary: Roses after the sudden horrible loss of our 17 year old son
Review: We too experienced a sudden loss when our son was killed. As a man came through the line @ calling hours, he handed me this book, as I read it, it seemed as though I was reliving Marylin's life some 20 years later. My experiences were so paralell it was unbeliveable. This book has given me some peace,at a time when I thought peace would never come again. Our loss is still so overwhelming that sometimes it's hard to even breathe, but I think of Roses in December, and I know someday the grief won't be what directs my life. I just need to experience all of the roses.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: For those who are grieving
Review: When my family lost three family members in one day, we were still trying to deal with the loss of my 20 year old cousin Dawn. We did not know anyone who had to deal with several tragedies at once. Roses in December offered us consolation when nothing else could. It helped us hold on to each other and still see Gods love through our grief.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A must read for anyone who lost a child.
Review: Whether your child was an infant, a stillborn, or an adult, this book will help you cope with your loss. Roses in December digs deep into the emotions of losing one's child and helps the reader deal with anger, sadness, depression, and other aspects of grief in a productive way.
