Rating: Summary: The most informative book I've ever read Review: As with many of his other books, Dave Hunt has managed to translate confusing Bible prophecy into everyday language that all can understand. This book deals with Revelation chapter 17 and the Woman (Roman-Catholic church) riding the Beast (Antichrist). While at first glance, this may seem like a stretch, one need only to read the first few chapters to see the absolute truth of this conclusion. Hunt backs up everything he writes with Scripture references and famous historians, even many Catholic church historians as well. This is a fantastic book and the information found in it is invaluable. A must read for any Christian or Catholic. While most Catholics may be offended at what this book proves, anyone reading it with an open mind will be astounded at the deception that is taking place in this world. If I could give it 50 stars, I would.
Rating: Summary: bizarre Review: Dave Hunt is filling a need for many people, the need to have something to hate. Anyone remember Louis Farrakhan? Hunt proves with this book that the same kind of hate spreading, blasphemous venom can be found in the ranks of the evangelical and charismatic so-called Christians. He does a great disservice to all genuine Christians by twisting the Bible to fit his own version of "the truth". One can only wonder how such a nut found a forum and a following of gullible people to believe in this nonsense.
Rating: Summary: excellent well documented book Review: As an ex-catholic I am grateful that I was saved out of the papal pagan system. Thanks to the honesty of brave God-fearing men like Dave Hunt the truth be told!
Rating: Summary: An eyeopening look at behind-the-scenes hypocracy. Review: Dave takes a detailed, educated look at the truth behind one of the greatest "false religions" of our day. This book is sure to anger many of those who have a limited background and knowledge of the Bible, both Catholic and non-Catholic's alike.
Rating: Summary: A Visionary, a Prophet or ? Review: Truth or blasphemy, this book is effective in its aim to spread dissension and hate among Christians. After reading this, I believe you can prove anything by quoting the Bible. Hunt proves the maxim: the Bible says exactly what I want it to say, nothing more and nothing less. Nonetheless, it is an interesting study in propanda techniques and seems to sway the gullible and those prone to fanaticism!
Rating: Summary: No Stars Review: Another forgettable diatribe against a Church that doesn't resemble in the least the one Hunt portrays. Barely a step up from chick cartoon tracts. I am a convert from protestant ministry to Catholic priest-take it from me he is wrong.
Rating: Summary: a spiritual eye-opener Review: Catholic history is tainted with horrors of lies, theft, murders and persecutions. Now the so-called leader sits on a throne and makes a lot of noise about his speaking without error. I think all christians (and catholics!) should read this book. One underlying point of the book is that all people should beware of the catholic church. For example, the Inquistion was never abolished-it just goes by a different name at present; the reason(s) is obvious. Plot and counterplot, what appears as goodness to the world is that something disguised as an angel of light. How many times in how many places has the catholic church blended the world with the church to get the people to join, and then enslave them in one way or another? I believe Dave has certainly captured the essence and presented it quite well.
Rating: Summary: A great book about the Sinfull church of Rome Review: This book brings to the light all of the mistakes and hidden sins of the church of Rome. Fully of documentation and references , this book explain who the church of Rome fits perfectly in 'THE GREAT BABYLON' OF REVELATION 17 & 18. All the christians should read this book, to be aware of the danger of ECUMENISM and the PAPACY.
Rating: Summary: Stunning and Amazingly True Review: When Dave Hunt wrote the book "The Seduction Of Christianity" many wrote of this work however as time moved on these same people who mocked Hunts writings were then saying he was spot on. The same goes for this book 'A Women Rides The Beast' which uses mainly Catholic sources and history that Roman Catholics either do not know or want to forget. Of course the Vatican is the Whore of Rev 17 no other system comes close to the description given which is indeed clear and to the point. Hunt proves his case by using the actions, teachings and history of the Vatican and then ties it up with Scripture. Yes Hunt again will be proved correct like his other work in Seduction. The Whore must be exposed and Hunt has done the job. Well done Dave!
Rating: Summary: Anti-Catholicism at its Worst Review: Catholic apologists have refuted these arguments. Zondervan bookstores won't even carry this book. Christian Research Institute has blasted it as revisionist history. This is a work that isn't worth the paper its printed on.
