Summary: A Shed of Light for the times we live
Review: "A Woman Rides the Beast" is a truly astounding book. The history of the Catholic church is astonishing. I had always had my doubts about the church, but learned fully of the deception the church holds. Any one reading this book should walk away with a disgust for this church. From revealing Pope's sins and supposed infallibility to the church's involvement in some of the most inhumane events in history, this book shares the Catholic church in ways you would never know unless you are an unbiased historian. Dave Hunt does a wonderful job in revealing to the world the evilness of this church. I highly recommend this book to anyone especially Christians and Catholics. The facts and historical accounts are there as well as quotes from many well known apologists and many other world renowned people. I give this book 5 stars for the light it sheds on the catholic church.

Summary: Pagan practices unveiled
Review: Catholics obviously malign this excellent work of exposing the papacy because of some misbegotten loyalty that has their minds so ensnared that they absolutely will not accept the truth! Read how your popes down through the ages have killed Christians, Jews or anyone who would not adhere to their twisted perversions. IT IS ALL DOCUMENTED! Don't just call it a lie because you feel you need to defend the pope.

Summary: Very Informative
Review: In the early 70's, I went to Yugoslavia. Before going, I got some information from a young doctor I worked with, who was raised in America by parents who emigrated after WWII. After giving maps and information, he warned me not to mention his name or I would run into trouble. When I asked why, he said that his Catholic family is hated because of what they did to the Serbs before and during WWII. He didn't want to explain. In the chapter about the slaughter of the Serbs, Dave Hunt sheds alot of light on why he said this. It also verifies comments I heard in Yugoslavia (now Bosnia, Kosovo, etc.) Dave Hunt sheds light on a church history many would prefer to hide or forget. Often I hear that the Protestant Reformation was just "people who wanted to do things differently." It was so much more. It helps explain the unthinkable - how the Holocaust could have ever happened. This is a must read!

Summary: Is Dave Hunt Infallible?
Review: The overwhelming paucity of original sources, combined with the wildly speculative nature of this book make it hard for me to understand how some would characterize it as "well-thought out" or as having "clarity of presentation". Catholicism is nearly 2000 years old, yet some readers feel that Mr. Hunt adequately provided enough background for them to fully understand the Catholic Church? That Mr. Hunt strongly dislikes the Catholic Church is an understatement, but what he never established was his own infallibility, nor did he explain the origins of the Bible, as given to us by the Catholic Church (a fact acknowledged by respected Protestant scholars). If the Bible is so clear, why are there 26,000 denominations? Just make Mr. Hunt's views number 26,001.

Summary: Some excellent sources utilized.
Review: Dave Hunt has done it. He has successfully become a wanted man by all major Christian denominations. Even though I don't agree with everything he believes, I do appreciate him challenging the greedy and corrupt institution called church. This book falls down I believe in the chapter on the Prostitute. It focused too much on the historically based literal actions of the Popes and the citizens of Rome which unfortunately missed the greater scope of what it potentially means. I also believe he missed the opportunity to shed light upon not just the immorality of the Catholic Institution but the inherited immorality that is upon all those organisations that have tried to reform from it. Apart from this Chapter I found the sources used to be fresh and sharp. Of course not surprising since the Vatican has been around for a good 1500 yrs +. Highly recommended

Summary: The spirit of grace and truth
Review: This book has been and continues to be very helpful to me. I used to be a Roman Catholic and I know the author's desire is to share the truth with the desire to deliver many deluded souls. The truth is not an easy thing to face but in the end it is beneficial for those who accept it. The fact that it stirs so much opposition is a good sign in my opinion.

Summary: MUST READ
Review: i bought this book for my wife and me and since reading it, have sent it to 4 others. the catholic church has been murdering CHRISTIANS for some 1600 years and it is still going on at the same time the pope attempts to 'reunify' all religions of the world under a one world religion to go along with the coming one world government. this is not a 'hate' catholic book in any way, shape or form, but a loving 'tell it like it is' book. i will be sending more copies out to others, especially my catholic friends others subject to believing the lie of the pope.

Summary: History Unearthed
Review: This book really filled in allot of the gaps in the history of the Catholic church for me. It as very historical and i found it even enjoyable to read. Since it was a large book there was allot of evidence talked about. A suggestion for those seeking truth and knowledge on Unearthed History.

Summary: Nothing New...
Review: As a Catholic convert, I must say that I approached this book with extreme caution. I knew I wasn't going to like it that much, but I had no idea how bad and hateful this man is towards the Catholic Church. There are SERIOUS errors contained in this book, and at times outright deception and trickery. I was an anti-catholic myself for 20+ years, raised in a Southern Baptist Family in Louisiana. I converted three years ago after a life-altering experience. This book was recommended to me by my family after they learned I was studying Catholicism.

What I was left with was a bitter taste in my mouth as to how much deception about the Catholic Church is taking place in this world. There is a *BIG* difference as to what Catholics REALLY believe and what Fundamentalists THINK we believe. If you want to learn more about the RCC, first of all read the Bible, then pick up a copy of the Catechism and you tell me who is in error. Rome or her enemies?

To make a long story short, I've been Catholic for two years now. My conversion is an on-going process that takes much faith, prayer and guidance by the Holy Spirit. I how have members of my own family which will no longer speak to me, accusing me of "apostasy". Another problem with the book was the summary of many documents that simply DO NOT EXIST.

Mr. Hunt really attempts to come off as a "Bible Scholar" here when in fact he's made a total fool out of himself. My theology professor told me that this bearded gentleman has a love/hate relationship with many evangelists. He writes books on just about every religious topic: Government conspiracies, occult "take-overs", UFO's and aliens, "New World Order" plots, you name it. Pass this one up in favor of Scott Hahn's or Karl Keating's books if you want to know what we Catholics REALLY believe. Please open your hearts and minds to the deception going on in Christianity. Thank-you.

Summary: Fancy Title, Utter Nonsense.
Review: Here we go again. Yet another book written by a "Biblical Scholar" to "prove" that the Roman Catholic Church is a counterfeit religion and a masterpiece of satanic deception. The arguments presented herein have been long discredited. It's the same filth that Televangelists, Fundamentalists and "Bible Protestants" have been throwing around for umpteen years now. But why not? This stuff sells, and anti-Catholic propaganda has been on a steady increase for quite sometime now. How surprising!

There is no evidence to back up anything he says, although he frequently uses quotes exclusively from Catholic sources, more often than not, they are taken completely out of context. That a publisher even shows interest in a work of fiction such as this goes to show you how far people will go to make a mockery of Christ and His Church.

Mr. Hunt, go back to writing fiction. You did a good job fooling many. Even most well-informed Protestants do not believe the hatred and madness that this man harbors. Utter nonsense, and total foolishness. I wish people would study history and the Bible before jumping to absurd conclusions. Is there any shred of sanity and common sense left in society? For another great laugh, read "Roman Catholicism", by Loraine Boettner.
