Summary: Catholic Bashing? ........Not if it's true.
Review: As an ex-catholic, I must admit that this material is extremely offensive to me when I first heard it. And it will be to anyone else who is in obedience to the Roman Catholic Church. I must have read Revelation 17 & 18 a hundred times and still come to the same conclusion.....it is speaking clearly of Rome. Read it for yourself and make up your own mind....Blind obedience is dangerous. These allegations are not "fringe" or radical ideas, they are common knowledge to anyone familiar with the Bible. Thanks Dave for having the guts to take a stand for Jesus.

Summary: Brutal Truth of Facts Regarding "The Infallible Church"
Review: Dave Hunt is an excellent writer, and this is his most powerful and eye opening book. Anyone who says this book is filled with hate, is in denial. Dave fills the pages with factual evidence, backed with documented history, of Catholic involvement in World Wars, Nazism, and more.This book should open anyones eyes to the truth behind a system which proclaims to the only correct system of Christ.

Summary: EX-Catholic For a Reason!
Review: I have read through this book several times only to come to the same conclusion: Dave Hunt did his homework! Much of the information in this great book has been proven by the history of the Catholic Church in action. Hunt quotes from the Popes themsevles and from official Church documents to build his case.
Truth is truth regardless of how you feel about it. If you are a true Born-again Child of God who believes the Bible, you will attest to the Truth within the pages of this book. If however you are looking for alibis for Rome, well then this book isn't for you.

Review: Having invested thousands of hours studying Bible prophecy directly from Scripture, I emphatically state that Dave Hunt has it right!

Summary: I found it a difficult read.
Review: Not that it was technical - though some of the catholic specific terminology sent me to the glossary - but rather that I found his writing style a little patronizing. Maybe I feel words like "obviously" and "clearly" should be used with discretion (the idea being that when something is clear or obvious you don't draw attention to that fact). I would have given up reading but for my interest in topic. In my opinion the author stretches unneccesarily for a few of his closing conclusions, but that is his perogative. It was a tiring read, and I would hesitate to reccomend it to anyone without warning them.

Summary: Just another dud... but sure, I'll give it one star
Review: because books like this one by Dave Hunt helped me to see the Biblical truth of Catholicism. Please, do yourself a favor and by pass this spoiled milk and move on to some serious scholarly meat by authors like Scott Hahn, Frank Sheed, GK Chesterton and Cardinal John Henry Newman who can PROVE to you that Catholicism is truth.

Review: ...I NEARLY DIED LAUGHING!!! Dave Hunt's book gets 5 stars for single-handedly reviving the long-dead style of conspiratorial alarmist claptrap put out by the Know Nothing Party of the late 1800's and early 1900's. The Know Nothings (so named because they "knew nothing except Jesus and him crucified") were a quasi-religious political movement spearheaded by men like Hunt --white Anglo-Saxon fundamentalist Protestants with sectarian axes to grind-- who vigorously opposed the immigration of the Irish, Italians, Poles, and other Europeans from Catholic countries on the grounds that such immigration was part of a Satanic global Vatican plot to undermine the USA and take over the world, as in this ...more things change, the more they stay the same. Summary: If even half of this book is true....
Review: If even half of the horrors this book describes about the Catholic church are true then we should all live in fear. After living with a Catholic for 20 years I saw a family that never picked up the bible, believed all they were told by the church, and justified all they did by buying their salvation, as they were taught. This book is so much more then a book on the end times and Revelation. You can believe what you want about the book of Revelation but you should read this book for it's perspective about what a potential role the Catholic Church might play in end times. Granted if you believe the end times are pre-ordained and if the Catholic Church is playing the role this book describes there isn't much we can do about it so you might want to read this book more for it's perspective on the horros of the Catholic church.

Review: I HAVE BEEN AN AVID READER AND ADMIRER OF DR. HUNT FOR YEARS. HIS WORKS ARE VERY WELL RESEARCHED AND DOCUMENTED. THIS MAN IS A BLESSING TO ANYONE WHO CARES ABOUT THE TRUTH AND HE EXPOSES THE FALSE DOCTRINES RAMPANT IN THE CHURCH OF ROME. HE SINCERELY CARES ABOUT LOST SOULS WHO HAVE BEEN MISGUIDED THROUGHOUT THEIR LIVES BY AN INSTITUTION THAT CARES MORE ABOUT ITS OWN AMBITION THAN SAVING SOULS. HE IS BOTH COURAGEOUS AND STEADFAST IN HIS DESIRE TO EXPOSE THE LIES AND HYPOCRISY OF THE PAPACY. IT CONTAINED AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF DETAILED FACTS AND CONCISELY PROVES THAT THE "VATICAN" IS THE WOMAN OF REVELATION 17. OF THIS THERE IS NO DOUBT AT ALL AND WHAT HE SAYS SQUARES WITH THE FACTS OF HISTORY. I HAVE READ MANY AUTHORS ON THE TOPIC OF REVELATION AND PROPHECY FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS AND MR. HUNT IS ONE OF THE VERY BEST AUTHORITIES ON THE SUBJECT. UNFORTUNATELY, HE HAS MET WITH UNFAIR CRITICISM AND YET HE IS AWARE THAT AS A CHRISTIAN WILLING TO HOLD STEADFAST TO THE TRUTH OF SCRIPTURE, HE WILL FACE PERSECUTION FROM THE UNBELIEVING WORLD. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT EVERYONE READ THIS OUTSTANDING BOOK. I GUARANTEE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PUT IT DOWN. WELL WORTH THE PURCHASE PRICE.
