Summary: Francine Rivers is amazing!
Review: I have read almost every one of her books and they are ALL wonderful. While she explores different aspects of christianity, she manages to weave a beautiful, compelling, can't put down story around each one. This book deals with evangelism carried out in a most powerful way - by a constant example of a person's life. If we could only do half of what Hadassah did, more of our "Rome" today would be following Christ...

Summary: A True Delight!!
Review: I've never read such a well-written story before. This is one of my all time favorites. Hadassah was enlightening, a person whom we hardly ever see; she seems real to me but a person whose really not a person. Julia, seemed like me and probably like all of us. Rome is very similar to America which frightens me and I've known this for a long time. I'm just going to say it was a well written book and people who haven't read it should. It made me realize a lot of things.

Review: What a wonderful encouragement this book was to me! It is theologically sound and reading it challenged me in my Christian walk. I don't read too much Christian fiction that does that. Thanks to Francine for all her wonderful works and her committment to our Lord.

Review: This was a GREAT book.....but it's kinda scary that in so many ways, this is a reflection of our OWN world! The culture and society of Ancient Rome are so like our own that it makes you wonder.....are we so different from those who put Hadassah in the arena?Anyway, I absolutely LOVED this book! I can't wait to read the others!!

Review: Hadassah's heart challenges my personal Christian walk. I've recommended it to every Chrisitan I know, men and women alike. It's great for those who aren't Christians and want a sense of what Christianity is all about.

Review: I couldn't wait to finish all three books! I'm hoping Francine Rivers will write another one (or three) continuing the saga of early Rome. There are very few books that I would read again, but I will read this series again and again.

Review: I can't wait to read book two, to see what happens to the characters. Ancient Rome reminds me of the world today. Those same fears Hadassah felt about spreading the good news definately hit home with me. I stayed up late into the night just to see what would happen to these people!Francine Rivers is a masterful writer and brings a new meaning of christian to me.

Review: I read this book in a time of spiritual need and came away asking more questions than before. Rivers' artistic writing and inspiring characters helped me live through my trials and search my own desires. Never before have I read fiction and been able to apply it to my life as I have with this wonderful book. I have recommended it to my friends time and time again and even find myself re-reading it. You'll love it!

Review: I always hesitate to recommend books to others, as everyone's likes and dislikes vary, but I would recommend this book and the two that follow to anyone who asks. If you want to be challenged in your Christian walk read this book. You cannot finish this book without a change of heart. You will remember this one long after you have put it down. I would read it again and challenge you to also.

Summary: Excellent, builds character and convictions.
Review: I stayed up last night from 9:00pm till 5:00am because I did not want to wait another day to reach the end. Francine has managed to capture the very essence of christianity in the first century and has exposed the STANDARDS THAT IT NEEDS TO HAVE/NEEDS TO MAINTAIN TODAY AND FOREVERMORE. Of course, there is room for change and improvement. I have seen my weakness in Hadassah and the way her unrelenting convictions enabled her to turn them into strengths. I have completed this book with a new conviction about fear, it will not paralyze me anymore. I logged into your site because I could not find anyone who has a copy and did not want to end my time with this series.
