Review: Dr. Daske's classic work is the most thouroughly researched study Bible currently available. Dake is the finest prophecy scholar I have ever read, he never got into sensationalism (forcing current events into Bible prophecy). If one could only have one Bible study tool, the Dake Bible should be it.

Review: Finis Dake was probably the most knowledgeable Bible commentator ever to live. This Bible, with commentary from Mr. Dake from a Pentecostal perspective, has an untold number of comments regarding nearly every scripture in God's word; it is the only source for Bible commentary you will ever need.

Review: I believe that The Dake Bible is the best ever written. I dissagree with some points that he may have in his commentary, however, I find that he is very biblical and accurate. The challenges that he offers is wonderful for preachers and teachers alike. I believe that any young preacher and nutured alike should possess this treasure. I am sure that any would find that this bible would be opened more than any other. I have read all his commentary and have preached from this bible for more than 15 years and have not regretted purchasing this bible. In fact, My wife gave me a new one for Christmas and I passed the other one to a co-worker and then many at work wanted one and have purchased one of their own. I strongly reccommend this bible to anyone who really wants to know thw Word of God!!!!

Review: I cannot recommend this bible highly enough!

This is a King James version with the most comprhensive notes and references of any bible I have seen. Each page contains four columns, the center two being scripture and the outer two notes and references. There are also extensive notes at the end of each book, as well as a summary containing the date and place, the author, theme, purpose and statistics. Symbols indicate prophecy, promise, command or message from God.

According to the preface, there are 500,000 cross-references and 35,000 notes! It is mind-boggling to say the least that a person could put such a work together without the use of a computer.

There is also a complete concordance and atlas in the back, as well as many other helpful aids for an in-depth study of the Word.

The only criticism, if you could call it that, is that the print is small. But get out the specs and dig in, you'll get a blessing.

One final thing, with such comprehensive references, if you don't find yourself in complete agreement with the author's notes you will still have a wonderful time with this bible.

Review: I have a PhD in Theology and I have found this bible to be an invaluable tool. I read the reviews listed before mine and I must say that I cannot agree with them. I think that we must all understand that the comments in this bible are a mans thoughts and that anything that is mechanical is subject to failure/misunderstanding. I am Pentecostal/Holiness and therefore aproach the bible in this way. I share many of the same insights that Rev. Dake did and therefore found this to be an invaluable starting point. I would not recommend this for some other friends and fellow Christians who do not have the same beliefs. I have used this bible as a place to start from and nothing more. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is just starting out or even someone who is a seasoned studier. I give it four stars because unless you have the large print the script is pretty small.

Review: I love Dakes Annotated Reference Bible, once you learn the basics on how to navigate through the scripture with Dakes notes, understanding and revelation explode of the pages. Questions I had were answered and explained. There is a complete set of notes after each book of the bible - the insight into the Word of God is amazing. I have read a lot of commentaries of the Bible and this one is the tops. I do not recommend this bible as a first bible for a new christian - the text is KJV - King James Version and may be hard to understand -(I suggest The Open Bible - New Living Traslation for a first bible) Anyway, as I always read reviews for products I want to buy when on Amazon - I thought I would leave one.
