Summary: Unscriptural, repetitive, and possible confusing.
Review: The main question the Gospel Book Club asked was "Why?" Why would Jesus have to take a person through what Mary K. Baxter went through when He has already given us His Word? Why would Mary K. be so tormented during the day, when it was Jesus, the Prince of Peace, who was supposedly giving her this revelation? Why was much of the book, and her 40-day tour, so repetitive? Why did she list the Scriptures at the end of the book, when it was at the end where she recommended that we read the Scriptures as we read the book? Examples of areas that we felt could not be verified with Scripture were the jail-like holding cells for some of the lost souls, Hell's shape as a body, and the babies' heaven.

The Gospel Book Club believes this book could possibly confuse new Christians or those who are not sure of what they believe or how they believe it. While we didn't doubt that Ms. Baxter went through "something,"we questioned the "divinity" of her revelation.

Summary: Great experience; A wake-up call to those who would wait!
Review: The descriptions and realities described in this book are the perfect wake-up to those christians who have been tempted to get comfortable in the world and what it has to offer. Many have forgotten that we are determining our eternal lives right here and now. This inspired book is one of the things the church needs to hear.

Summary: An awesome eye-awakening experience.
Review: This is a must read for any person breathing. This book will cause even the harshest skeptic to consider the possibilities. If (and that's a big word) this book is false then you haven't lost anything! BUT (and that's a big word) what if its TRUE...You would have eternity to lose. Please read and re-read and share with as many people as you can. God Bless You!!!

Summary: Horrors of Hell
Review: This is my first review of Mary Baxter's book. I was very troubled as I read every page. Mary is very earnest in relating what she experienced. At no time ever does she foist any vain imaginings upon the reader. She is always trying her best to convince the reader that Hell is real and not worth experiencing...EVER! Who would wish to be stuck forever in the same place with every fear and worry constantly besetting your consciousness??? To be forever removed from the Living God is horrible! At various times in her spiritual journeys to Hell she was shaken to the core of her being and only received healing relief from Jesus Christ. I have ordered the three tape English language version of her book and will relate what I hear after I listen.

Summary: I suggest another good book called "Spiritual War"
Review: I am reading the book "A Divine Revelation of Hell" and so far, it's great. Very much information of how the spiritual world is. I wanted to suggest that another book that might backup Ms. Paxter's book is "Spiritual Warfare" by Ing. Others are "Pigs in the Parlor" and "He Came to Set the Captives Free" by Dr. Rebecca Brown. They are some good backups.

Summary: God is just, but the book has flawed theology
Review: This book purports to give visions of hell by a women who was chosen by God to spread them to the world. However, the internal content of the visions are false. People do not ask God for mercy in hell. People who follow their conscience, as they do in other religions, do not go to hell. This women did not follow the Bibles advice to test the spirits. All of this does not mean that there is no hell. God is just. He must punish evil or he would not be God. That the majority are in hell, is clearly stated by Christ. God does not send anyone to hell. People send themselves to hell. They want to be in hell. As hard as this may be to believe. The sinner wants to destroy God,if he could. If this is not cause for eternal punishment, I don't know what is. Hell is real and it is very horrible, far more than anything that can be imagined. Justice must be served. But this does not make God a cosmic monster. It makes him simply what he is; perfectly just. But this book offers false visions. They are not true. The book offers bad theology also. Read this book, for some idea of what hell might be like, but be skeptical of some of the content.

Summary: Very powerful book. Definitely has the Lord's blessing.
Review: I first read some of this book at a breakfast my youth group was holding to raise money for someone's mission trip. I read the first chapter and I was hooked. I had to buy it for myself. This book is so powerful and so descriptive. I've always believed in Hell and I've always known that it was a terrible place, but now that I can actually picture in my mind what it might be like, I have made sure that I'm not going to end up in there...and I know I won't. :o) For some, this book was just a lie...they refuse to believe. Well, to whoever reads this message, know that Hell is real...but of course, Heaven is real too...and that's where you should want to go. E-mail me if you have any questions or comments. ~Shelly~ 16/f
