Summary: Excellent Bible!
Review: This is an excellent bible for students and adults alike! The translation is amazing (my favorite) because it's not only exceptionally accurate (translated from the Greek & Hebrew text) but also written in conversational everyday English, so it's like a breath of fresh air you totally understand what your reading. And when it comes right down to it that's exactly the way Paul wrote his epistle's to the people - in everday common Greek language that people used on the street. And isn't that the point to read God's word in everyday speech so you can understand and apply what you've read.Content wise it's amazing and presented in a very graphically pleasing and easy to read manner. Very attractive. There are book intro's, life application notes in the text, relevant "Ultimate Issues" articles, "Here's what I did" articles of students and how they lived out the word in their lives, "I wonder" articles, "Moral Dilemma" notes of real life case studies where young people had to make important decisions, "Personality Profiles" of bible people, "MegaThemes" at end of each book are study questions on the main themes of that book, also there are charts, maps and artistically designed memory verses. The content is so personal and applicable for student and adult alike. And graphically it's such a treat to read. The only drawback I have with this bible and a pet peeve of mine with Tyndale's bible design's is that I wish they would go all the way on their design. They always do something to short change it. In this case and in most cases with them they could have gone all the way and printed with two colors as opposed to one color black. Also, they could have used better quality whiter/thinner paper. I love thin paged bibles and I know alot of bible readers do. Those two drawbacks is the reason why I didn't give this bible the full 5 stars treatment.

Summary: An Avid Reader and Christian
Review: This is the best Bible format and language I've ever read. It gives a clear interpretation of what the Bible says about important issues surrounding teens today, such as abortion, homosexuality, creation, etc. It also highlights key verses and gives profiles of important biblical figures. The wordage is easy to read and understand, and tells the reader what the Bible is saying in modern English. It is a great study and reading Bible for any teen, and I give it two thumbs up!

Summary: The Best Bible Available
Review: This is the best Bible I've ever owned. It's written so it is easily understood by anyone these days. I've had another teen Bible, but this one way surpasses it in quality and readability. I would highly recommend this Bible to anyone new to to Christianity or has been a Christian for a long time. I had always considered myself pretty Bible literate, but this one made me realize a lot more. It is also great at showing how you can use the Bible as an everyday example. This is a must have for every Christian.

Review: This updated version of God's word will have readers scrambling for more! I loved the scene where Jesus and Skeletor battle in the Alley of Truth. Moses finally makes the cut for the SEALS, giving Pharoah's cybernetic tarantulas a run for their money!!! I would give this Bible 10,000 stars. If I could.

Summary: My First Bible, and still my favorite bible
Review: When I was a young Christian my youth pastor gave this bible to me. This is such a great bible for young people for so many reasons, too many to name really. This New Living Translation of the bible is complete with index helps as well as numerous other resources. Maps are clear and easy to read. There are life application notes and well as highlighted memory verses that really stress the important scriptures. The persdonality profiles of major biblical figures is great to those who may not have a clear understanding of why what a person did was so important. Probably the best aspect of this bible is that it makes reading some parts of the Old Testament, which can be more difficult, interesting and enjoyable to read. The parts of Leviticus and Numbers have charts and other helps to give the reader the little bit of added help it sometimes takes to get through those books. An excellent portion of the book is the "Life Changer Index" where it gives guides to where certain scriptures talk about issues that directly relate to young people today in our Western culture (AIDS, homosexuality, abortion, gossip, cults, honesty, prayer, etc). I have bibles in every translation that they come in, and yet this remains my favorite one to read. It is as user friendly as a bible can get. I've hung onto this book from my days as a young Christian to my days as a pastor and beyond. I highly recommend this book to all young people. Even if you are not younger in age, but are a new Christian, this version of the bible would really be a great help to you. It doesn't really matter that it's titled "student" bible, it touches on issues that we all deal with anyway. This not limited to students, by any means.
