Review: Reading this book was just like the Holy Spirit speaking directly to me. Tommy spoke of the church's need for us to cry out for God to reveal himself to a church that desperately needs a personal real contiual encounter with the living God. If you only read one Christian Book this year besides the Bible, You have to read Tommy's Book, you will never be the same.

Summary: Lord, I want to die!!
Review: Helped me to understand the manifest presence of the Father and to know I want His glory in my life and church. I look forward to dying to self that I might see Him. If your hungary for more of His presence in your life, then this is what you've been waiting for. You won't want to borrow this one, you'll want to own it. Dripping with anointing, once you begin reading you just can't set it down for long and your back in it again. Praise God for faithful servants like Tommy Tenny.

Review: In his search, Tommy Tenney has learned what is necessary to get close to God. More than anyone I have ever heard, I believe Tommy Tenney is on a path that leads to the unending presence of God. If you want to live in His presence, you MUST read this book.

Review: THE GOD CHASERS by Tommy Tenney has opened my eyes! Every Christian must read this book! It really gives meaning to denying yourself! I was not able to put the book down. My hearts desire is to Run after the Father, this book gives you the motivation to run and I mean run as fast and as hard as you can after the One and only HOLY GOD! "My Soul Follows Hard After Thee"

Review: Be careful! Be very careful!! This book will knock you out of your apathy! I suggest that if you enjoy going to sleep at night and enjoy a quiet pray life. Do not read this! If you have built yourself a reputation. Do not read this. However if you want to experience the Glory of God in your life. If you want to know what the train of God looks like. If you want to see the face of God then get this book. It gives you a gentle shove into the hottest fire on earth. God's refining fire. Be warned however, "Only Dead Men can see God's Face!"

Summary: Excellent, if you are starving for the things of God, read.
Review: How close do you want to be to God? What are you willing to do to get near Him? This book will encourage you to come into His Manifest Presence and never leave. How can we live without Him. This book is a call to purity and the deep things of God. If you want to be with Him you need to hunt for Him, it will cost you everything. I'm telling you this chase is worth it, because at the end of it you get to live in presence forever. This book will make you hungry for the things of God.

Review: This book takes tradition out of Christianity and makes it very very personal. This is no instant fix for your personal problems. It will lead you down the path to the 'death of self'. Not a book for the light-hearted. It is a book for those who are tired of religion and are trully hungry for God.

Review: MR. Tenney sums up the entire book when he writes "A God chaser is an individual whose hunger exceeds his reach." If you hunger after God, if you love Him for who He is not just what He does, then purchase this book.

Review: Whenever we (the church) make emotion and 'experience' the proof of God's presence, the Devil wins again. Demons will provide all the manifestations needed to keep the party going. Meanwhile, God's program of making believers more like Christ continues.

Summary: A Passionate Book
Review: In looking at the reactions of the other reviewers it seems people either love this book or hate it. Furthermore, it appears some of the more harsh critics don't want to give the author the benefit of the doubt, i.e., they assume he has sinister motives or a hidden agenda. I don't want to be in the same corner with those of such a vitriolic disposition. It appears to me Tommy Tenney's central premise is, he had a major encounter with God and if you are hungry for God you can experience something similar. He goes on to describe that he wanted reality and not just a form of religion. He uses Scripture to make his case. This book is just a heartfelt effort to call people to a passionate encounter with God.
