Summary: Incedible spiritual insights
Review: Rav Berg takes some of the most complicated and esoteric concepts of Kabbalah and makes them completely accessible. He reveals the incredible beauty, practicality and power behind this ancient wisdom so that people can improve their lives and help bring peace to the world. It's clear that Rav Berg's mission is none other than to reveal the truths of the Zohar - concepts which are often misunderstood or not known by both religious academics and scholars alike. This book is a gift.

Summary: Extraordinary and User Friendly at the Same Time
Review: The selection of books that i have read on Kabbalah were steeped in esoteric mystical babble that had no apparent relevance to myself or the average person in the street. Finally, there is a book that is quite profound and practical, written by an eminent Kabbalist who is not afraid to ruffle the feathers of the religious establishment or challenge the status quo, which often upsets my fellow rabbinical colleagues. The Essential Zohar is "down-to-earth" spirituality for anyone who seeks to know the essence of life. I have to admit, i was a skeptic before i opened the book. After reading it, one cannot help but see the power, depth and penetrating wisdom that flows from the pen of Kabbalist Rav Berg. But don't take my word for it. Read it yourself and you decide. Truth resonates on its own.

Review: This book is a shining Light of clarity for me. It seems every time I face a problem in my life, the next chapter of this book, as I am reading it, explains the Kabbalah's view and gives me the insights I need to recognize my blocks in the particular situation. I feel I now have some understanding of the Zohar and it's depths. I want more of this type of explanation! On a parenthetical note, I wrote a quite negative review of Rav Berg's Wheels of a Soul, where I found his writing fractured and points unintelligible. I am quite amazed that this book is by the same author! His message is so clear here. I must view this as a mystery of Kabbalah that I hope someday to understand!

Review: this book is the most amazing one i ever read ,after reading so many books about kabbalah and spirituality its the first time that i was able to understand in such simple and deep way the essense of kabbalah.It clarified the mysteries around kabbalah and the zohar in the most comprihended way possible.Rabbi berg wrote a book that can change the face of earth,if just everyone will read it.thank you for an unbelievable and vaulable book.

Summary: A total enjoyment to read
Review: This is probably the fourth or fifth book that I've read on the subject of the Zohar and the Kabballa, and by far the best. It really helps one understand the valuable teachings that are often between the lines in the Torah (especially for someone like myself without a Jewish background and no knowledge of the Hebrew language). This book kept me hooked from start to begining, and I pretty much read it in one setting. And as a bonus note... all the books from the Harpersanfrancisco "Essential Series" tend to be valuable and honest introductions to the various spiritual practices of the world

Summary: The most impactful book on kabbalah
Review: This is the most clear and consise book that I have ever read on the Zohar. It is now very clear to me how and why to use the Zohar to better my life. I loved reading this book. I feel that it has changed my life in such a profound way. Something that I have been looking for for such a long time is now accessible. The invaluable wisdom of this book has already helped me to remove a lot of the chaos I have been experiencing until now. I highly reccomend this book to anyone who has any questions about life.

Review: This is the most understandable book about the zohar. It opens up this ancient text so everybody can understand. I believe that only Kabbalist Rav Berg could accomplish this task. Only this great sage and scholar who has dedicated his life to revealing the wisdom and secrets of Kabbalah and the Zohar, could write a book that so easily makes the Zohar understandable and more importantly applicable to our lives today.Thank you Kabbalist Rav Berg for all you have done.

Summary: An Essential Book- A Beginners Perspective
Review: This was the third book that I have read about Kabballah. Almost immediately you feel a connection to the author when you read this book. You can tell that Rav Berg is an extraordinary person. The detail of each chapter is remarkable there are many levels of meaning contained within the paragraphs. The concepts are not difficult to understand but the depth of the material had me re-reading sections several times. I highly recommend this book if you have read a few other books. I would start off with The Secret or The Way to give you an overview of kabballah.
