Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Exposed At Last Review: Wow! I thought Joseph Campbell was the be-all and do-all in this field. But Acharya S thoroughly examines the Christian myth as few have dared--with depth and breadth. Using thorough research, in-context passages from the Bible, quotes from individuals from the annals of time, along with a thoroughly engaging writing style, Acharya S culls the truth out of the myth. Of course Jesus was not historical--otherwise his works and deeds would have been written about by all sorts of historians of his time. Of course Christianity is indoctrination of the most insidious sort--the younger the better in order to get them before they can reason. Of course its only means to keep the "flock" was to murder all who thought for themselves. Plus, the fact that Christianity is as pagan as it gets flies in the face of a so-called "revealed truth". The fact that Christianity is not unique in its origin and nature, nor are the characters who make up the many books of the Bible, also testify to the fact that it's NOT a divinely revealed religion as well. History, history and more history. Just in time to usher out the 20th century. I highly recommend a background or an interest in religion, mythology, linguistics, history, astronomy and even astrology to get the best out of this book. Nonetheless, if you don't have those backgrounds, you will when you're done! Acharya uses her diverse knowledge of these disciplines and many more to unravel the tangled mess that Christianity has left on the planet. This spiritually dead religion has finally met its match. The truth has been revealed and Acharya S is the exposer. Kudos to her for using over 400 pages to point out every last aspect of it as well.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: One of the few books I would rate as "Do Not Ignore" Review: The release of this controversial and fascinating book should be making headlines as Big News. The author doesn't make just "a case" for her claim that Christ is based on mythology ... she makes dozens! This is a very well researched and scholarly book that should be in the library of every thinking person. I applaud Acharya S for having the guts to come right out and say "The emperor is naked!" Of course, those who believe only what they've been programmed to believe may attack the author and the book, probably without even reading it. But people with critical thinking skills will be ever grateful for the ray of light that is being beamed onto this controversial subject. Hopefully, calm reason will win out over the usual fear and force that motivates the "true believer".
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Couldn't he just have followed a script? Review: The whole premise is that similarties to other religiouns automaticaly prove Christ a fabrication. Did it occur to anyone that the guy was just following a script? Do you think it is that hard to start a religioun, prophacise the end, and then offend a bunch of dictatorial Roman policemen until they kill you as a routine execution of trouble makers? L. Ron Hubbard did the first with little trouble, schizaphrenics do the second every hour of the day, and annoying the Julio-Claudian dynasty until they killed you was very easy to do. (Assuming the Tv series "I, Claudius" had it halfway right.)This is evidence that Christianity was fabricated, instead of simply being a bad rehash of already available sources by someone who took notes?
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Pandemonium in the Cosmic Sea of Love and Delight! Review: Another failed attempt at Unity in Diversity. If we are tobelieve Ms. Acharya's view of Christianity it appears from herspirited attack that we have the same sort of foul spirit to look forward to from the future disciples of Acharyanity. Did you know that the Holocaust had it's roots in Christianity? Hitler was raised a Catholic. Enough said? Shall we forget the tens of thousands of Christians who died along side the Jews during the autocracies of that time? Is it possible that Hitler was a 'Christian' in name only? It is widely known he was intensely interested in and a practitioner of the occult. The abuse of Christianity is nothing new, Christianity has been used and abused since it inception, all the more testament to the fallen nature of humanity and our need for redemption. Did you know Pope Leo X said that Christ was a fable? Actually, after researching this, it turns out that statement is attributed to John Bale, an apostate Carmelite monk who wasn't even a contemporary of Pope Leo's. Ms. Acharya also dredges up long since demolished historical critical views of the biblical texts to refute their reliability and authenticity. It is clear that Ms. Acharya's prejudiced agenda blinds her to quality in scholarship. The truth suffers at the hands of Ms. Acharya who appears to be a 'teacher' of a gospel more foul than the one she claims Christianity teaches. Perhaps Ms. Acharya is herself an agent or pawn of the 'Power Elite' who hope to undermine the old 'Christian' power base and establish a new one just as 'vile'? I would give this book no stars if I had the option.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Every "Thinking" Person Must Read This Book!!! Review: I have read a large number of books about the origins and development of Christianity and critiques on the overwhelming contradictions, wrong facts, and the absurdity of breaking the laws of nature (The Divine Intelligence rules for Order in the Cosmos) to prove a point. Nonetheless, the "Christ Conspiracy" compiles and lays our in a very easy to understand manner most of the information written by some of the most brilliant minds the world has every produced. These geniuses such as Gerald Massey, Alvin Boyd Kuhn, Thomas Pain, and John G. Jackson, just to name a few, have ALL concluded after extensive and exhaustive research that most of the stories and words of wisdom in the Old and New Testament were copied, plagiarized and distorted from Africa, Northeast Africa (so-called Middle East) India, and Greece. In other words, Christianity has not brought any new light to the world. This book will help free your mind from mental enslavement and confusion. Only when humans stop living a false reality, will we ever begin to cure the ills of the world. Of course, for those people who are thoroughly brain washed, no amount of evidence and FACTS will make any difference in their lives.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Stunning scholarship! Review: While Christianity has disaffected many of its adherents and freethinkers have long looked askance at the various cons pulled off in the name of Jesus, few scholars examine so thoroughly the religion's true historical roots in conspiracy and parapolitical manipulation. The Christ Conspiracy is a feast of scholarship (400+ pages; fully illustrated), not only debunking the notion of a historical Jesus but establishing clearly the roots of that mythology in the solar precession. In pursuing this avenue of research, Acharya S has attained a panoramic view of world religious history especially useful to students of conspiracy, but also one accessible to mainstream readers. She is a veritable Joseph Campbell of dissent over commonly held assumptions about Christianity. Believers will find a new and quite formidable challenge to their faith and others will be blown away by the depth and breadth of scholarship.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A Bit Academic, but Don't Let That Stop You From Reading It. Review: This book argues - - in a clear and rational manner - - that Jesus Christ was in fact a mythical figure who was nearly identical in every detail to numerous other "savior-gods" such as Krishna, Horus, Mithra, Hercules, and Dionysus, all of which predated the figure we know today as Jesus. Although a bit academic and dry in places, there are a great many gems to be mined here, including a discussion of how the story of Jesus may have actually been derived from the worship of the sun and other celestial bodies by cultures much older than that from which Christianity originated. The author also presents compelling evidence demonstrating that Christianity and the story of Jesus Christ were actually created in order to unify the Roman Empire under one state religion in order to control the masses. Obviously, this subject is controversial, but the book is also well-researched and well-written by an author with impeccable credentials. Read it and decide for yourself.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This is the best book on the market Review: You can't do any better than this book, especially for the cheap price. It's full of truth, on every page. I think this book could help save the world, and I wish everybody in the whole world would read it. Do me, yourself, your family, your friends and all the others on the planet a favor--READ THIS BOOK. Right now. Before people fighting over stupid religions start WWIII. This one book only could prevent Armagedon.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Christ Controversy Review: [...] Acharya's book is certainly powerful. Having been brought up in a Christian household, I felt angry at the possibility of having been lied to for so long. This is not a book that can be read nonchalantly by the sincere seeker of the truth. To paraphrase the Old Testament, faith should be subjected to the crucible to elicit gold. The Christians who honestly study this book and finish with their faith totally intact will certainly have my admiration. Like other reviewers, I have found snippets of information which I disagree with in Acharya's book. What does this leave us with? A rough diamond, but a diamond nonetheless. Christianity is unique among the major faiths insofar as it is based upon the soteriological premise of godman making the ultimate sacrifice for humanity. Buddhism for instance, would be unshaken if the Buddha was proven to be totally mythical, as it is solely a method of spiritual development. If Jesus however could be proven to be mythical, where does that leave Christianity? The bible teaches that we were made in the image of God, the various Gnostic schools (some of which greatly influenced early Christianity) spoke of us having a divine spark within. Personal empowerment is about recognising our true nature and taking control of our lives, rather than having someone else make our decisions for us. To effectively take control, it is vital to make informed decisions. May the truth be known to all.
