Review: I actually did read this book from cover to cover. I didn't find it to be written with the general reader in mind. I found it to be a bit intellectually highbrow. It was a bit hard to follow - and I found it to be a bit of a snooze. The author did make a few good points however. "Demonizing" is an all too common practice. The Title of the book is a bit misleading - I didn't find it to be what I had expected. If I had a bit of insight into this book - before I had read it - I would have certainly passed.

Summary: Another Thought Provoking Book By Pagels
Review: This book deals with early Jewish and Christian religious politics and how these formed the identity of satan. Anyone that is interested in early christianity will find much of interest in this book. With this book and others she has swritten, the author has shown how early christianity evolved into what it is today. Recommended!
