Summary: Prophecy
Review: I read Angel Unaware as a senior in high school in 1966. It stayed in my book collection as I moved to various states throughout my adult life. Then, thirty-one years later (8/26/1981) to the day of Robin's birth (8/26/1950), my "Angel" was born. I knew I had the book somewhere stored away. When Julie was 2 months old, I found the courage to look for it and stood right there in the basement by the open box of books and reread and cried as I realized that she and Robin shared the same day for their birthdays. We have come a long way, both in medical and personal support for persons with Down syndrome. But through the years, I have gone back and read the book again feeling a connectedness of Robin's "Angel spirit" to that of my daughter.

Summary: It is timeless. I have held it in my heart for 20 years
Review: I read this book as a little girl blind to what troubles that others had. Thanks to this inspiring heartfelt portrait told through Robin's eyes, I became aware of the world beyond my small circle. I hold it and Helen Keller's story highest in my wide range of past reading. I bought both for my two daughters in hopes that it might teach them the compassion and acceptance I value so deeply. Now at 30 I have been diagnosed with MS and I feel that the experience of these books have truly helped me to endure the drastic changes in my life. Every child should read this book. They might see things a little clearer if they did. Thank you Mrs. Evans for sharing your beautiful ANGEL with the rest of us!

Summary: Wonderfully touching and tender!!!
Review: I read this book for the first time when I was a very young girl, probably about 12 years of age. I loved it then and have always wanted to re-read it. I recently found another copy and just finished reading it. I found it to be even more wonderful now that I am fully grown and a mother myself. The book brought tears to my eyes and I will always cherish the reading of this book. I would love to see everyone read this book. It really puts things in perspective.

Summary: Heart Warming
Review: I read this book when my son, who has Down syndrome, was 6 months old. We had already gone through the heart surgery and numerous other health related issues that comes with the disability. I really felt conncected with this family and coouldn't put the book down until I was done. Everything they spoke about was so true in how you feel and react to situations. You come to realize the more important things in life. It doesn't matter how much money or fame you have, all you need is to love your child for who they are. That is all any child ever needs or wants. If you are ever in doubt when given a special needs child you should read this book. It will change your outlook on it forever.

Summary: Touched my life in a very special way....
Review: I received this book for my 10th birthday from my parents, many years ago. At the time, I was very impressionable and this book made a significant impact on my life. I learned then that what we as fallible humans consider to be "imperfect" according to our standards of ignorance and bias is usually the most precious of all things to God.

Now, I have a two-year-old son with Down Syndrome and I can relate in so many ways to this book. As I look back over my life and various correlating events that have taken place, I see that God was preparing me to be the mother of a special needs child all along. And it all started with this one little book.

Summary: The book touches the deepest part of your heart!
Review: I was given this book as a gift over 42 years ago as a very young girl. It was one of my most treasured possessions until it was taken from me and never returned. I have been trying to get another copy for years, but found that it was out of print. Thank you Amazon!

Summary: Read this book, whoever you are!
Review: It is a glowing testament on so many levels, especially the parent/child bond. My mom gave me a copy of the original printing of this book when I was 12 years old, and it has stuck with me for 18 years. I will never doubt the higher power or reasons why things are the way they are.

Summary: It has stayed with me for 43 years now-unforgettable!
Review: My Mom let me read this book when I was seven. Something magical happened at that point that has remained with me my entire adult life. I don't know what happened to that book after I read it; but I know that I need to own it now and read it again to try and understand such an impact at such an early age. Such words from the heart - lessons for a lifetime.

Summary: This book will really tug at your heart strings.
Review: My mother remarried when I was almost 12 years old. My sisterand I stayed with family friends while she was on her honeymoon. Theyhad a copy of "Angel Unaware". I read it everyday after school that week. It was one of the most beautiful stories I have ever read. I have never been able to get it out of my mind. I am absolutely thrilled to see it in print again. I spent several years before the internet looking for a copy. If you haven't read it you need to put it on your "must read list". You'll never be able to forget it either.
