Rating: Summary: Hope and Healing Review: This book provides what it intends - FAITH and HOPE. Anyone looking for "explanations and answers" will not get it, I think that this book is for those of us that have an open mind and readily admit to not having all of the answers (which none of us has anyway). I've enjoyed all of John's books and especially like his down to earth writing style. I too agree that everyone should read this book, it would make the world a better place.
Rating: Summary: Left me scratching my head???? Review: This is my second attempt at reading a John Edward book, and honestly it left me scratching my head. I will give him three stars for attempting writing, but the book rambled at times, and had no solid foundation.I have recently had the pleasure of reading a book called, "The Book of Thomas," by Gabreael and Daniel Aber that answered a lot of the questions that this book danced around, and then some. In this book the primary guide revealed himself to be Thomas Bateman, a pioneer in the field of modern archeology. According to Aber, "For the first time ever, a spirit guide not only gives his full name, but provides verifiable information about his last incarnation." Bateman refers to himself as "The Great Communicator" and he proves the name to be true. Some of the topics this book touched were DNA, suicide, murder, abortion, birth and death of the soul, Heaven and Hell as well as many other controversial subjects. Each revelation is presented in a clear and understandable format -- no clouding of the messages one comes to expect from channeled information. It did not leave me scratching my head.
Rating: Summary: Fabulous--better than his last book Review: This is so much better than his last book, which focused on how he developed his TV show. In this book, Edward gets back to what we can learn from his experiences and his readings. A thought-provoking book from someone whose skills can't be passed off as skilled guesswork. I'm always amazed that the skeptics-you know, those people who think that there is nothing beyond what our 5 senses tell us!-think the lack of so-called "proof" is on THEIR side. It isn't. You can't PROVE that there IS or that there ISN'T life after death. Given the fact that proof does not exist, it seems wisest to me to open onself up to the possibility that there is more than our 5 senses tell us. Even scientists will attest that you can't kill energy. I always wonder what the skeptics are afraid of!
Rating: Summary: This Book Review: This is the second John Edward book I have attempted to read. The first one was "What if God Where In The Sun." I have never seen one author driveling over their mother so much in my life. It is obvious that the man has "issues." So I decide well surely he has matured, perhaps he is a better writer now. Well, I was sadly disappointed. This time he also rattles on about his father. You would think that someone with this sort of talent would apply himself in such a way that it would better society. He explains little to nothing about the afterlife, & I had a sense when I was reading it that he most likely didn't even write the book. The commercial plugs in the book are downright shameful as well. This book is about lining John Edward's pockets plain and simple.

Rating: Summary: I was expecting more, but he's a great medium Review: This man is the real thing! John Edward really, really did help me get in touch with my dead great-grandfather! Well, I should say he wasn't exactly dead, but he seemed like it, and thanks to the skills I learned, and the spiritual enrichment I gained from this book, I was able to draw Gramps back from the "other side." (Gramps liked to nap on the couch, but I moved him to the other side of the room.) I have never had such a moving experience. (Usually it's harder to move people across the room.) In conclusion, John Edward is my favorite charlatan. PS My favorite medium is actually a solution of three parts hydrochloric acid mixed with eight parts orange juice. Gets those stains right out of the upholstery and leaves them smelling citrus-fresh.

Rating: Summary: AWE-some Review: This was a book I could not put down. Each chapter was packed with amazing events. I've read all his books and this by far is his best yet! Throughout the course of this book you follow John as he becomes a father, deals with the loss of his own father, follow him on his seminar tour down under, and then laugh and cry through some powerful readings. For those of us who have lost some one where the relationship was more rocky than a rose garden, this book shares ways with finding peace with that relationship. Even if that person is on is on the other side. After I finished, I felt that the themes of love truly are universal and it doesn't matter if you are in America or Australia, or elsewhere in the world, the bonds of love that connect you here in the physical world stay with you when that loved one one crosses over.
Rating: Summary: Aaliyah is definitely, definitely okay Review: Those were his words from the reading he did with Aaliyah's mother. I am a huge fan of Aaliyah and his reading with her mother was very personal, in detail and so right on point with so many details. The amazing thing to me was that they withheld the identity of who he was reading from him until after the reading. It was very, just wow, I cannot even describe the intensity of it. It must have been both difficult and soothing for Aaliyah's mother to go through this. I thank both of them for allowing outsiders to share in this even if it through a book and not his show. Any Aaliyah fan, and fan of John Edward should check out this book.
Rating: Summary: AFTER LIFE Review: VERY INTERETING,I HAVE SEEN HIS SHOW,SO I THOGHT THE BOOK WAS JUST AS GOOD.
