Rating: Summary: Writing an autobiography? Review: I read this book in conjunction with writing the autobiography of my life (thus far). I found it provoked me into thinking at a deeper level about the paths I've chosen and the results of those (at times) rocky roads. For all the hype this book got when it came out, it deserves it. Rich story-telling leads to an examination of your own life, what it leads to after that is up to you. Buy it, read it, change.
Rating: Summary: Truly insipiring Review: One of the best book I've ever read. I am extremely touched by such a sincere and loving relationship between a teacher and his student. I was moved to tears in the last few chapters. Can't stress enough, but this is really a must-read.
Rating: Summary: The book should be included in all high school syllabus Review: I am always angry at the news about suicide of teens. There must be something wrong with the society, with us adults and with the whole educational system. We should be so ashamed of ourselves when we find someone like Morrie who value his life so much and make the best of it till the very last drop, and we do little to save the lost ones. 99% of life's problems can be solved, and we should send this message out to the world loud and clear, especially to the teenagers and the weak societies. p.s. As a pro trader, I had been in a losing streak since the beginning of 2002. However, with Morrie's brilliant example, I will fight on. Thanks to you Morrie. God Bless you in heaven!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book! Review: It's difficult to find a book like "Tuesday with Morrie" that have both useful and interesting component. The book recorded the conversations between an intelligent and a successful businessman. All topics in the book are important for us. We seldom think of these topics. The topics included death, love, sex, etc. All these aspects are attractive and worthwhile for us to think of.
Rating: Summary: A book to improve your inter-personal skills Review: "Tuesdays with Morrie" is a true story between a psychology professor, Morrie and his ex-student, Mitch Albom. In the 14 Tuesdays, Morrie taught him about the meaning of life and care of his friends and family. I like this book very much and thusI would like to share my feelings with all the readers. After i read this book, I learn what is love and how to communicate with others and simpathy of my friends. Sometimes I think that my personality like the author, Mitch. I do not care about the relationships between my friends and families or even do not trust them. But, when i read one of the chapter, Morrie taught his students to trust others, so he use a game. I was really touching when I finished to read this chapter. And thus, I suprise that I never care about it. Now I'm a student and i will go to work soon. Thus, I think this book can really help me to improve my inter-personal skills and how to communicate with others more smoothly. I hope all of you can recommend this to others when you finish to read of it. Now, I always recommend this to my friends and my families because this is the best book that i never saw it before.
Rating: Summary: hollie Evans Review: I liked this book because it was based on a true story. Anothor reason why I liked it was because before i read it I didn't know anything about ALS, and now I learned something while reading a good book. The only thing I didn't like was it was a slow story and the way Morrie had to die was sad.
Rating: Summary: Book of truth Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. I really enjoy reading true life stories it makes you want to know more about whats happening. It gets you involved with the action of the story. I think Mitch is a great author I feel that he should write more books. All of those books that have unrealistic things happening sometimes people loose interest mainly those that talk about aliens and monsters and different kinds of stories like that but Tuesdays with Morrie really stirred my interest It made me cry it made me laugh it made me feel as if I was in the story and that I actually knew Mitch and Morrie and thats what attracts readers well most of them Usually I am very judgemental when it comes to reviewing books that were assigned to me from school but I think this was the best book I've read. I wish I could have met Morrie and been able to talk to him because I'm sure that he would have been really inspirational to me as he was to Mitch. You can see how much I really enjoyed the book because I didn't see it as just a book I saw it as reality which it was. I can't stop expressing how much I really enjoyed it. I think I would like to meet Mitch and actually listen to that tape of the actual Morrie. I really feel that it wasn't something that you just look at and say I liked that book and then never think about it again I loved it and I still think about it even though I finished it. When I first got the book after reading the first somewhat of a chapter I couldn't put it down i finished it within the first week. That's why I gave the book 5 stars!
Rating: Summary: tuesdays with morrie the revew Review: the book tuesdays with morrie was a really good book. It make you think a lot about the way you live your own life. just think how you would live if you knew just how long you live. would you change the way you live it sure made me think.
Rating: Summary: A Book About Life Review: This book is a wonderful portration of life. I enjoyed seeing into the lives of someone else, seeing their trials and separating myself from my own life. This book can help anyone to see how valuable life is and how we should live it. You don't have to agree with all the principles they lived by to understand where they're coming from and learn from their experiences. Another thing I liked about this story was that it was blunt, they did not clean it up and make it pretty for the readers they told it like it was and that makes for a great, true life story.
