Summary: This is one of those "everyone must read" books!
Review: The "young" learns from the old once again. What a shame we can't learn some of life's real lessons while we are young. Read this book and you will learn and relearn why the heart is so important and nothing else really matters. Morrie will make you laugh and he will make you cry-- both wonderful human emotions. You will take much away with you when you finish.

Summary: Repackaged platitudes
Review: This book is unremarkable. ALS is clearly a terrible disease and Morrie clearly has some strength of character. However, the book's main messages -- enjoy the simple things in life, love one another, maintain a positive outlook, slow down, turn off your cell phone -- are poorly-communicated banalities. The book lacks depth and is written in a style that manipulates the reader's emotions rather than enabling a spontaneous reaction. Remove this book's disingenuous wrappings and you are left with a trimmed-down "Life's Little Instruction Book." Plus, I question some of Morrie's behavior. Close friends choosing to honor me with eulogies while I am still alive would be wonderful -- initiating such a 'living funeral' for myself would be a bit odd ("Come tell me how great I am before I die.") A favorite student choosing to write a book about my life would be wonderful -- planting the idea in his head and helping him outline the book would be a bit odd. And what about the author? Was Albom truly changed by his conversations with Morrie or has he gone back to his workaholic way of life? I suspect the latter since the author only spent his Tuesdays with Morrie since he was on strike and couldn't go to work. Finally, how did Morrie's wife Charlotte feel about all this? Would she say that -- by creating a media circus with Ted Koppel and camera crews filling the house -- Morrie lived up to his own aphorisms and made it clear how much he loved his family before he died?

Summary: It's a book that teaches us how to live no matter your age!
Review: This book shows us what is truly important in life. It allows us to see in to the most imtimate part of a man's life and love him for letting us in. He shows us that a life with out love is not a life at all.

Summary: Two Thumbs Up!!!
Review: Being a Chico State graduate recently, I completely understood the relationship of the professor with the student. You will not be able to put this book down once you start. It's nice to read something so heartfelt and true these days!

Review: Tuesdays with Morrie is a great and sad book. Mitch Albom Got to relize God's greatest gift... life. Morrie was an amazing teacher, mentor and friend to Mitch and I wish everybody could have been that lucky. Our chaplin @ school read this book in chapel to us, it was amazing to see what it did to our school. We also saw the interveiws of Morrie on Nightline. He had an amazing life...

Summary: An inspirational story about a beautiful, old professor
Review: Tuesdays with Morrie was a beautiful story about how a beloved, old professor taught the people in his life about love, respect and honor, and about how to be truely happy. This story has inspired me to try and be the best person I can be. From the moment I picked up the book I loved Morrie and laughed and cried with him

Summary: A Book To Make You Think...
Review: I wanted to read a summer book that would make me think long after I finished the book. This is that kind of book. The author and Morrie had a very special friendship and shared a very special life experience. Since reading the book I very much want to show more love and appreciation to my family and friends before it's too late. Time is precious for us all. I have both asthma and chronic fatigue syndrome, though not life threating for me, can drain me of life and vitality at times. But if Morrie can endure ALS as he did, so can I endure my trials. Thinking about death makes me think about the Lord, and how He is able to care for me no matter what. I rest in His loving arms.
