Summary: The Kregel Pictorial Guide to Church History
Review: When I first saw this book I thought, "Right - a church history covering 2000 years of history; it must have skipped alot of info." However, after reading it I found that it was informative and covered a good deal of history in its 21 pages of text. Major events and persons were covered. This work I feel is for the student who wants a good and quick overview of church history. It is well written and has a good flow and writing style. There is a chart in the middle of the book which opens up to 39 inches long and 10.5 inches wide. What the book does not include is on the chart. I plan to use this book for a class I am teaching in church history; this is a layman's course which I will be teaching at the church where I am a deacon. The only complaint that I have with the book is that there is no bibliography but it does have an index.
