Summary: For us who love Cats more than we should...
Review: A nice enough book, with pictures from the (old! Probably original Cast) Broadway production. You get the pictures, all the lyrics (which you get just as well from "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats"), and, the most interesting part of the book; essays from Lloyd-Webber, Napier, Lynne and one other on the making of the musical Cats.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: For any CATS lover!
Review: All songs include pictures. Writings by people originally involved with the production. Shows many interesting items such as Costuming and Original drawings.List of all actors shown in the book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An excellent companion to the musical
Review: Even despite the closure of the Broadway production, you can still relive the experience and memory of the show thorugh this wonderful picture book. With photographs from the Broadway premiere, and interesting commentaries by the production team, it can strongly be recomended to those who know nothing about the show. The photographs are generally well-taken, and captioned with extracts from the libretto, even despite the fact that in order to shorten the book, two long portions were taken out - one each from Gus: the Theatre Cat, and Skimbleshanks: the Railway Cat. Yet, I know that the text is near-complete and rather satisfactory, but I suggest that you buy the original Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats as well. The one advantage this book has over the out-of-print edition with photography from the actual world-premiere production, is the greater reality achieved here. The actors look more like cats in this production. Overall, I think that this is an excellent book and a great gift to give to the CATS fanatic, or any musical lover.

Summary: Relive the magic!
Review: For anyone searching to recapture the mystery of this fantastic musical, this very well may be the book for you! While it is more of a picture walk-through of Cats than an in-depth look behind the scenes, it serves its purpose in capturing this Broadway monster on paper!

Review: I am a big fan of Cats(we're talkin' realy big!I know all the lyrics and dances)and I found this book a great addition to my Cats Collection, which includes greasepaint, Old Possum's Book, T-Shirt,hat, sweatshirt,ORIGINAL BROADWAY COSTUME WORN BY CYNTHIA ONRUBIA(VICTORIA), fan-made costume, A WIG WORN BY VEERLE CASTELYN(JEMIMA), 5 CDs, Video, 2 DVDs, ticket stubs, autographs, program, magnets, letters from actors, and a WIG WORN BY CYNTHIA ONRUBIA THE ORIGINAL BROADWAY VICTORIA. This book is wonderful and added to my huge collection. It might not be as valuble as the two wigs or the costume, but it is still a cool book!

Summary: A CATS Lover's Delight!
Review: I am an avid CATS fan, and I also like to draw and sketch with colored pencils and the like. I practice my techniques by drawing and coloring the many CATS in the musical. This book, with its beautiful, full-color pictures of the entire cast, turned out to be a lifesaver. this book is a must for any CATS fan, and makes a great coffee-table book.

Summary: Cool.
Review: I got this book for Christmas and I think it's very good. It has a ton of pics and most of the song lyrics. It's the Broadway cast which is a little dissapointing :( If only they had done a London Cats book...hopefully a few pics of Veerle.

Summary: This cat thinks This Book has been overrated
Review: I loved the stage musical and didn't understand a word except for "Memories". And I love the video to death. But this book is no way a companion to the video, unless you're just looking for the words to the songs. In that case you've spent way too much (the lyrics can be had on the WEB)! The cast in this book is different than the Video and if you have young kids who love the video like mine do, they are going to ask (and say)"Why daddy does Gus look different, or that's not Gus". The only worth while text is from Andrew Llyod Webber and it happens to be the shortest article of the 4 included. I was disappointed to say the least and in hind sight find that 99% of the reviews are "irrationally" positive and not at all realistic.
