Rating: Summary: Think twice about this book Review: I purchased this book to have some extra problems to work on. I am a student in the UC Berkeley Electrical Engineering Department. Sure, they have hundreds of problems to solve, but few are actually insightful. The problems are extremely similar to each other (often changing resistors) and are very trite (many of the problems are the same bias point calculation over and over again). Moreover, the discussions of big ideas and "problem solving strategies" are lacking to say the best. They gloss over fundamental facts and approaches to problems. The book also uses outdated notation. In some instances, instead of using Beta for the current gain in a bipolar transistor, h_fe is used. Additionally, there are not any technologically current problems in this book. All in all, I think this book is a big waste of paper and regret purchasing it.
