Summary: HOW TO SURVIVE IN THE U S A
Review: This book is about the reality of American English. The book presents everyday vocabulary, different American accents and normal (if not fast) speaking style to the users so that they are not overwhelmed when they face with reality in America.

Among many ways to study this book, I found one that is useful to me. Before you start to listen to the cassette, read the content of the tape in advance (the content of the tape is located near the end of the book.) If you can memorize the content before even listening to the tape, that is great. Then listen to the tape and figure out how each word is pronounced. Immitate the speaker. Speak fast. Immitate and immitate. That really help. By the time you get to the middle of the book, you can speak with confidence.

This book is recommended to users with strong basic English vocabulary and grammar. Not good for beginner because it is too fast, and it provides no "foundation" grammar lessons.

Summary: It's a good book
Review: This is a good book for those planning to visit or live in the USA. It shows numerous situations about american way of life. It has some curiosities too. The book covers since before your departure to USA and has a rich glossary at the end of each chapter. 4 out of 5, because it needs a good background in English.
