Review: I have the Fourth Edition of this book; I used it while doing an interm with a local cable company. Great for newbies to the television and video industry.

Summary: Good, but parts are dated
Review: The Television Production handbook does a great job with explaining the basic principles of television production and direction. If you're lucky enough to get a copy with Zettl's VideoLab CD, that's almost as good as the book. My only complaint is that some of the images in the book seem a little dated for a book that was published in 1999. But overall, good book, good value. -MW
