Rating: Summary: short, simple and gets you thinking! Review: I like this book because it is brief and to the point, but also because it made me think about stuff that most books on multiculturalism ignore -- like the importance of white studies, and the need to really think about assessment practices or tracking practices. The sections on community involvement were very useful. So were the sections on postmodern ways to understand identity. This author makes all of these confusing theories directly relevant to my work! Finally, a book that is cutting edge and also useful to practitioners!
