Summary: A poor textbook
Review: I studied from this book for an undergraduate semiconductor physics and devices course. The book contains information on many different topics. However, each topic's information is insufficient and poorly presented. As a student, many of the problems at the end of each chapter have almost nothing to do with the material presented in the chapter. Many of these problem's solutions required methods/equations that were not presented in the book. These reasons were probably part of the reason the professor only used this book one semester before switching to a different text.
