As a former police officer and now college adjunct in the field of criminal justice, this book offers everything that I need to teach in the field of juvenile delinquency. The book is very readable and poses "food for thought" in the various categories of study. I originally bought this book (5th edition) for a class while I was finishing my doctorate degree. The book became an invaluable reference while completing my dissertation. I highly recommend this book to anyone teaching in this field.
