Summary: Useful & effective
Review: "This book was a delight to breeze through. The exercises are revealing. It is evident that the author's experience reveals the capability to speak authoritatively about public speaking and specifically in regards to speaking from the heart. While reading this book, I experienced a personal shift in perception of how I have viewed my ability, as well as courage, to practice the art of speaking from the heart both publicly and in my personal conversations. What a gift this book was for me, to find something so simple to read, easy to comprehend, and immediately applicable to more than just public speaking!"

Summary: Public Speaking from the Heart
Review: Hi, I already wrote a review on Public Speaking from the Heart and "Heart" was spelled "Heat." Could you please change it for me. I'm embarrassed that I misspelled the title of the book. Joanne Tucker of Costa Mesa.

Summary: "Public Speaking from the Heart " Saved the Day
Review: My fear of speaking in public was astronomical, to say the least, from earlier dyslexic experiences that left me in grave doubt about my ability to speak up without embarrassment.
One day, my greatest fear rose up and hit me square in the face...I was to speak at a corporate meeting with many successful executives from a Fortune 500 company. "Oh God," I remember saying several days before the event, "send help! Now!"
I picked up this little book entitled "Public Speaking from the Heat" and found my answer. Reading it voraciously, I then practiced some of the exercises, one in particular. Standing and orally practicing "felt needs" over and over, my confidence began to blossom. I wanted the listeners at the meeting to hear my point of view until they could say, "I know what she's talking about!"
At the meeting, when it came time to give my speech, I said to myself, "I will no longer react to my mental breakdowns and instead focus right now on achieving my goal." I stood up and delivered a speech that even surprised me! Afterwards, people came up and said that I had changed their minds about the subject of our discussion because of my heart-felt sincerity.
I can truly say that "Public Speaking from the Heart" saved the day, and now I'm more confident, relaxed and willing to speak in public.
