Review: As someone who has gone through grade school and college, I was looking to increase my vocabulary. I borrowed this book from my local library because it had caught my attention. As I was thumbing through the book, I came to the realization that this book is best suited to someone in grade school or has English as a second language. "Quick Vocabulary Power" contains information that any American who went to school should have learned already. The book is very well structured and very easily understood, but I can only recommend this item if you are looking for an easy refresher course in vocabulary.

Review: I use this book as part of my tutoring business. Few vocabulary books emphasize affixes and roots, so this is an excellent supplement to any vocabulary enhancement program. Once students learn these affixes and roots, they will have excellent tools for inferring word meanings on standardized tests.
