Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Jeppesen Instrument/Commercial Manual Review: An excellent reference for the student all the way to the airline pilot. This is the best aviation book I have seen published in years. It has great pictures, illustrations, examples, and quizzes that will challenge any pilot. This book is a must for every pilot. Period.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Excellent, if FAA-specific, book. Review: The Instrument Commercial Manual is unquestionably one of the best volumes written to take a student from PPL to CPL/ATPL level. The many illustrations, explanations and pull-outs serve their purpose well. However, given the amount of theoretical material in the book, it may be less useful for non-FAA students. If you're studying for the European JAR ATPL, or any other non-US licence, you might want to look for a different text. Nonetheless: Highly Recommended for all FAA students!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great Classroom Textbook Review: This book is a great teaching/learning tool. There is a picture or pictures on almost every page to emphasize the text. It simplifies the learning process by explaining everything in great detail and not in a dry way either. I love this book. What I have said here does not do this book justice. You have to read it for yourself. We use this book here at Purdue University in our Aviation Program.
