Review: I just finished my Communications class and used this book to give a presentation and write a paper on communication and how to do it right. I felt the book was very educational. It certainly taught me quite a bit, despite the fact that I couldn't really read it (I used it for research). It was on loan from my teacher, but I plan to buy this book for myself. Heck, I'll probably have my husband read it too!

Review: This is a very nice introductionary book that justly exhaust various topics. Pros: Easy to read, and unoffensive to the readers' intelligence. Many examples, diagrams, summaries, and concatenations between the chapters are well done. Great examples. This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

Review: When I started using this book in 1978, I could never have dreamed the impact it would have on my students. Now, as director of my own private school in another country it has become even more powerful as a tool to help teach English as well as communication skills in the native language. Through the excersises and discussions, students learn to communicate bi-lingually more effectively...much more effectively. In its 9th edition, it has become a standard, a classic and, for me and my students, a necessity.
