Rating: Summary: Loved It! Review: As a hard core coffee drinker I wondered what a couple of guys that ran a tea company could offer someone like me, an individual who has been trying to get a commercial design firm to reach the level of success that it can. I was over taken in the very first pages of this book by its language, wit, humor and straight forward advice. This is a fast read that tells you what you need to do in order to run and market a business of any size successfully. Now that I have read the other books in the Zentrepreneur series I discovered that these books all seem to be part of an ongoing info-fest that will invoke and inspire you as they did me into doing what needs to be done without anchoring yourself with the kind of doubt and hesitation that keeps you from reaching your goals in business or in life. Time spent reading this book is time well spent.
Rating: Summary: Loved It! Review: Dragon Spirit is a book that addresses the challenges and provides the lessons to succeed in running a business. How to market your products and services without a bank of advertising dollars, the importance of design from webpages to business cards, the need for a vision statement as well as a mission statement, are just a few of the topics discussed by the authors- realities that business schools overlook. I recommend his book to anyone who aspires to creating greatness.
Rating: Summary: A Book That Works Review: Ever read the instruction manual for a product from China which was obviously a bad translation from Chinese to English? You know the kind, where some of the sentences come out to nonsense? Two words for Rubin and Gold: proof readers. This has to be the most poorly written book I've ever read. If you can wade through all the errors, you might find a tidbit or two of useful ideas or motivation. I can't imagine how much they must have paid for their endorsements, or better yet, who would have risked their reputation by standing behind them. Perhaps these "Ministers of Tea" should stick to their hot drinks and leave the writing to those who understand English.
Rating: Summary: A Book That Works Review: For 2 years I attended countless seminars and read many books searching for guidance and information that could help me grow my business. Dragon Spirit is the book that let in the light that I had been looking for. In a unique one on one style, I felt that the authors were talking directly to me offering the type of advice that anyone wishing to succeed with an enterprise should pay serious attention to. I did and it changed the way my company does business and had an immediate effect on the way our customers viewed our services and the way we viewed ourselves. If you have a business or if you are trying to start one, this book can make the difference you've been looking for.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME ADVICE APPRENTICE FANS WILL LOVE Review: If you have a business or are in the process of starting one or if you have been on the fence needing just the right push to get you on your way to undertake your dream, this is a must read book which guides and gives authentic steps on how to create and market a suceessful enterprise.
Rating: Summary: A Great Read Review: If you're wondering why Ron Rubin's books have such high ratings from readers on this site, I can tell you why. He "teaches" a class at St. Louis University, and in that class, he requires his students to write a review about his "books" as an assignment. I happen to know this because, unfortunately, I wasted my time taking his class. Trust me, he's even more annoying in person than he is in his bad writing. Don't waste your time reading anything this guy writes. Just as I did, you'll wish you had that time (and money) back.
Rating: Summary: Worthy of anyone's time... Review: Once again, a book written by the original Zentrepreneurs has crossed my desk. I was changed for the better after reading their first slim volume. And after reading their latest work, I am nothing except positive that my dreams can become real. I've taken the time to savor this book. It's street-wise, business-world savvy and just plain life-enhancing. Simply put -- this small book is wonderful. I've made it mandatory re-reading.
