Review: This is a text book on museum science. It covers all phases of designing, building, financing and operating a museum from the very basics. I have used it extensively to develop policies and procedures for the Minnesota Transportation Museum as we grow from a trolley ride to a major museum site. Everyone in the museum/history center/science center business should read this and see that other members of the trustees and employees have read this as well. Most valuable is the discussion of the responsibilities of the board of trustees, executive director, curator and other employees. Though the book is small, it gives you a good foundtation to build upon for any phase of museum work.
