Summary: A great intro to SEM/TEM!
Review: As an SEM/EDS (read the book) process engineer working with technicians at many different levels, I have found this book to be an invaluable resource. It is written at very basic level making it accessible to anyone, with or without a scientific background. Whenever someone wants to know more about how the SEM functions then I can tell them in a five minute spiel, I give them a copy of this book. The material is slightly dated (early 90's technology), but is still relevant to anyone in the field today. A great book on all of the basics.
