Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Best PPST Prep Book Review: -To the point -Doesn't review unnecessary content like other prep books that I've studied from. -Gets the job done. p.s. -Barron's is terrible; Lots of type-os and incorrect answers. -The one published by Research and Education Association does a through Math review, unfortunately 90% of it isn't covered on the test.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This one is the best! Review: After getting a terrible Praxis review book, and feeling frustrated, I decided to get this book a few days before my CBT test. It was great! I felt confident and prepared after using it! My scores were great as a result. I strongly recommend it!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Does not Help With The Computerized PPST Review: Everyone here takes the Computerized PPST and this book does not help with that test. The Barrons PPST book was the only one I could find with a practice Computerized PPST.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Worked for me Review: I am not very good at math nor english. I am a fair student, but not the best. I passed all my ppst tests on the first try which is kinda odd in Pennsylvania. A lot of people are failing them by a point, but I scored higher than needed on all three. Give it a try, it worked for me.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Good review Review: I found this book recently and I was hesitant to buy it because there was no amazon reviews online. I did find a copy of it to flip through in a local bookstore and I liked what I saw. Since I am considering teaching as a second career, I have been told taking the PRAXIS is my next step so I had to start somewhere. First, it includes an intro to commonly asked questions and strategies. Then it moves on to analyzing the three exam areas and gives may hints as well as specific sample test questions. My favorite part is that it has a Mathematics review complete with pre-test and then review of the specific areas with arithmetic, algebra and geometry which I can use since I am very rusty. It reviews grammar and useage which brought out some good tips. It also included sample essay writing questions and 3 full length tests. Since I am often a procrastinator, I particularly liked the study guide check off list which I think has helped me stay on course. This guide had a small section on the CBT so I am probably going to get something else to supplement that area, but I think overall this is a great way to start studying.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Very easy to follow. A big help! Review: I passed reading & math and am waiting for the writing score. This book was a big help. Very good reviews for each of the three tests. You would be happy with this book.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent review guide for Praxis I !!! Review: I purchased and used this study guide 2 months prior to taking the Praxis I. The format is very helpful; it has diagnostic tests for math, reading and writing, as well as math and grammar reviews and 3 full length practice tests. Following the tests, the guide gives you the answers and provides in-depth explanations about each answer. Math has always been my weakest subject, and despite having graduated from high school 17 years ago and just now going back to college in hopes of entering the teacher education field, this study guide helped me so much that I scored 12 points higher than required for my state on the Math section! I highly recommend using this study guide. Though it is primarily geared for the paper-based exam, I took the computer based exam and found the book to still provide very helpful strategies. Good luck on the test! Gina

I scored above what is required on each section. Mind you, I have been away from college and studying for more than 4 years. This book reviews each section on the Ppst individually. It also contains 3 practice full length exams with detailed explanations, that I found to be very close to the actual exam. I took the computer version of the exam.

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Highly Recommended Review: I was nervous about taking the PRAXIS PPSTs, as my undergraduate college work was over two decades ago. This book provided excellent practice problems and sample test questions. I found that working through the book made the actual exams (paper-based) seem familiar and relatively easy. The concise math section reviews were very useful. The practice questions matched the test surprisingly well.
