Summary: Good Book to have if you want to pass CQE
Review: Excellent prep for the CQE exam.Jagdish takes the CQE bibliography line item by line item and gives you the requirements/answers need to pass the exam. It is very easy to follow-through and keep your idea focused on subject matter. For those not preparing for the CQE or new to the Quality movement, this text is an even more impressive summary of what all levels of management should be doing in all of their endeavors. As the book explains, Quality is first a belief system, a mind set, (if you do not believe in it, you won't reach it) then it is a set of tools and process to achieve what ever your goal may be. I highly recommend this book to Quality Engineers trying to get CQE and other Quality professionals alike!

Summary: Not a good book to study the material
Review: This may be a good book if you already know all the material and just need a review before the exam.

The book is NOT designed properly for studying or for reference.

It looks like ASQC is afraid to provide people with study material. Since the material being covered is so easy, it needs to be presented in a confusing manner to make it seem hard.

This book may be a big step forward in bringing the information together, but it is not a good book by any stretch of the imagination.

The organization for a book designed for studing is simple:

1. Define the material to be covered and expectations.
2. Cover the material.
3. Present sample problems (from easy to hard)
4. Present answers to sample problems.
5. Present Mini-sample tests (with clear directions for exam conditions and times -- creating and getting used to the pressure environment is essential to studying for an exam).
6. Comprehensive CQE sample exams (full 5 hours long). These practice exams should be designed to help students learn to adapt to the exam conditions.

This book covers steps 1, 3 and 4 only. It does not do a good job of the remaining steps.
