Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Very Disappointed
Review: This book is far from "A Complete Guide". It is mostly a collection of the author's hunting stories. I found the book lacking in the "chapters on selecting the right game calls and learning how and when to use them.." described on the book's back cover. I expected some sample sequences, and some explination of what types of calls are useful when. Tricks for bringing in predators the "last few critical yards" are totaly absent from the book. The author hardly even touches on techinques like the lip squeek, or any other method to close the gap. Questions like how to stop a charging coyote for a shot without spooking him off are left unanswered. The author even fails to mention the coyote's habit of circling downwind. There is one illistration showing a stand set up over a bait pile, but no discussion on the many factors to consider when setting up a calling stand. The only advice given is on the issue of camoflague and concealment.
Overall, I feel that the majority of the tips given in the book are things that the average novice hunter would know intuitivly. I gained nothing but some a few chuckles from reading this book.
