Summary: The Best Possible Book of Its Type
Review: Jerome Clark is not a crackpot. As a figure in the field of Ufology and Cryptozoology, one understands that such a statement is actually a complement.

This book sums up Clark's approach to unexplained phenomena. Sifting through all kinds of reports, from the fantastic - Merefolk, the Goblin Universe and Sky Serpents, to the more mundane - Coloured Rains and Entombed Animals, the author brings a critical eye to everything.

For instance, he discredits reports from the Bermuda Triangle, and refrains from delving into paranormal matters, claiming that they're 'outside the scope of this book.'

Beyond the grounded approach and methodology, readers will find a treasure trove of spellbinding tales in this volume, even if most of them have no grounding in fact.

Summary: More than UFO' s It's a Desk Reference!
Review: Mr. Jerome Clark did it, great information that covers "hundreds" of critters and events! To the point, easy to refer to and very informative! I'm new to this interest due to Jerry D. Coleman's "Strange Highways" awesome, informative book. But another book added to my list of awesome is now Clark's "Unexplained!"

Everything you've heard about and many things you have not will be found in "Unexplained!" Jerome Clark proves he's an individual author in this one! I cannot tell you how often I've looked something up again and again in this book. From Bigfoot to UFO's and so much more, it's in this one!

Summary: The definitive reference book....
Review: This is the best of all the cryptozoological and unexplainable events book I have come across. It definately belongs on your shelf. Great categorization and good cross-references - not to mention it's just a whole lot of fun to read!
