Rating: Summary: Good to go! Review: Probably the best beginning textbook out there, Golosa introduces Russian in a clear, concise manner that balances helpful vocabulary & grammer lessons neatly, and helps the learner gain a more complete grasp of the language from Day 1. I've used several different textbooks (the most notorious being Nachalo--no the revised version is not better), and this one had the fewest contradictions and confusing exercises. Granted it's more expensive, but worth every penny for the increased comprehension. Best used in conjunction with conversation practice, but the tapes are also very good.
