Summary: A Must Read for Rhetoric Majors
Review: This book changed the way I think about Classical Rhetoric. Jarratt's writing is a little difficult to get through, but the ideas are well worth the effort. Her work on contextualizing the Sophists shows a way to integrate the fields of Rhetoric/ Composition and Cultural Studies as well as pave the way for understanding genre theory.
