Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Very Challenging Book
Review: A very challenging book with questions that make you think. The correct answer choices are not obvious like with other review books. I recommend this book to prepare for National Registry because the correct answer choices on Registry are not obvious at all.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Excellent resource
Review: Barron's EMT-P workbook is an excellent resource for future medics. The full-length practice tests are wonderful.

One down side to the book is that the questions from the front of the book are repeated in the full-length tests, i.e. some of the questions that are in the categorized sections (such as "Trauma") are found later in the back of the book with the complete practice tests.

A positive is that some of the answers are fully explained...some, NOT all. The good ones include the rational behind why the other choices are incorrect.

The questions in the book are very similar to National Registry type questions. (All of the writers are from Ohio, which is where Nat'l Reg is located.)

If you are studying for Nat'l Reg, I would recommend purchasing this workbook and a second book with practice test questions. I know that most medic students are poor, but it is really worth your money in the long run. Try to get a book that correlates with your text--then you can more easily look up the sections that you need more help in.

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: I had troble with my first attempt at national registry. I then purchased this book along with several others. This book was very useful because the questions are in a similar format to registry. The scenario questions are very good.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Best
Review: I have had the opportunity to look at several review books in my 13 years in EMS. I recently had to take National Registry for a flight-medic position. This book has the best material and questions that I have seen. It pointed me to the material I was weak on. I highly recommend it.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Cheap book. I guess you get what you pay for.
Review: The wording for many of these questions and answers is so vague that it makes it impossible to answer correctly. I have come across several questions that have multiple correct answers (per national protocols) yet only one is correct in the answer key.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent Book
Review: This book has many scenario-based questions just like the actual exam. It also has detailed explanations of the answers. The three practice test were a challenge. I highly recommend this book.
